He's very handy, don't think the rambler boys will give you much info as they'd like to have him back playing for them i'd reckon,

Bloke is a gun CHB that can go forward and kick goals.

He is moving that way for work/teaching and I expect him to sign up along side his old mate Ryan Morris at Central Augusta

This all came from the River Murray thread. Another teacher to Central Augusta. The Education Dept has served Central Augusta well over the years.
With some help here are some past and present to have played A grade-
Morris, Griffith, SCarter, Crabbe, Hromin, Struck, Carr(current), Callary(returning?), Keatley, Nadebaum, Malkin, Williams, Archibald, Redden, Serocki, A Carter, Fischer(former). Any chalkies Ive missed? So now it seems we add Luke Button (and no doubt more to come!)

Ridiculous offer for what he is now capable of. Catch and kick only, cant or won't chase, never trains so you will need plenty around him to mop up the slops.

How much? Always interested in the $ everyone thinks is being paid.

Monfries was apparently on $1300 a game last year, shorly not? That would work out to about $100 a disposal last year.

Would be every bit of that plus a new car for the season to get him back & forth I'm reliably told.

Souths are a strong and proud club, premiers 2012 is one of the many facts that should be acknowledged. Players change clubs all the time and stories are just that. Unless you have all of the facts you will often look silly making comments on the situation. We forget that Ray Hayes is Westies coach. He could talk a Mudskipper into thinking he was a Great White.

Of all the comments you choose to quote you pick mine. I actually do know the facts as the player in question asked my advice.

Just someone who likes the "soapbox" 7Dog dont let these comments bother you. The Curley and Reid story has just about run its race I think. (Mind you Im still none the wiser! So feel free to put the facts up if happy to do so! ;) )

7-Dog and Big Cox the comments i made was in general and not aimed ant any specific comment. I was actually backing 7 dog up on this one but obviously its been taken out of context. Big Cox i am not commenting because i like the soap box its just that i don't like seeing the South Augusta Club and the individuals involved being painted in the light they have been. I'm not a South supporter but i do have respect for the Players and the club. For future reference if i only use your comment then you can assume that is what i am referring to. If you see more than one comment being quoted this means i am commenting on the topic in general.

Luke is a very very good player. Premiership at Ramblers and a desertion to SFL. Reckon Ramblers are over the moving on bit but work wins everytime. Or $$$$$$$$

The word around Port Augusta : centrals are gaining another couple of teachers
Luke button one of the names Floating around pretty handy apparently , christen Reid from Souths to play along side his brother Jared which in the same day I heard could be heading back over to Whyalla for another stint and they are still chasing nick callary pretty hard . Possible loses Morris and woolford still link with southern flinders griffin and Ashley Grantham linked with BMW also chrissy johnson heading to adelaide to try make a run at footy seriously. South gaining a young talented lad of the last name
Stuart and apparently Daniel baker from broughton but he has also been linked to A roxby team and they are apparently keeping there kids that were heading to west Augusta also set to gain their captain Adam Grantham back from injury some time during the year. Loses Reid to centrals , Curley to west , Heron moving to Adelaide not playing footy going to get serious about triathlons and Schmidt , Cox , Laube and Lukich all been linked to BMW and broughton Schmidt also being linked to roxby also in the rumor merry go round . West gained Curley from south and dean steele from the lions in pirie as well as the Colson boys , a guy of the name Sansbury and pulling a few of the old brigade out of retirement like south did last season . Loses Kerley (the ruckman) to a northern territory comp and will lose 4 or 5 of there up and comers they blooded last season to uni .

Parish! Lock up your (young) daughters! Cocky but a good player. Dan Peglar won the medal in Roxby last year but I didn't know he was playing for us. Fit looking unit. I'm not sue but I think Stoetzer from the Hallet Cove could be in our jumper this year. Put him forward with S Mac and our forward line will be better then average.

Warren? Expecting Morris will follow Woodford next season when his contract finishes with another team mate. It wouldn't be Schmidt he plays more up the ground and I can not see kernahan leaving south.
