I dont think Baker plays at Southern Flinders.Central Augusta would still be trying to lure him back too but has he lost respect for the hierarchy as is rumoured?
Christian Reid (and Curley for that matter) have been great servants of the Bulldogs over the years. Would Centrals use precious points on Reid though?
As for Leeroy Schmidt, if any club put on free beers he would be there!

be a sad day if Reid left the bulldogs, one of the most respected players to play for Souths, dont get loyalty, and longevity like he has shown over the last 12-13 yrs to often....extremely underrated by the competition imho....never got picked for northern cities or more recently SGL squads yet was clearly the best back pocket to play in the last 6-7 yrs...dont get too many who can win games of footy by playing in the back pocket, but his ball skills and reading of the play would be surely missed....definately still in souths best 21 but unfortunately due to work and family commitments couldnt attend as many trainings as he would of liked to have a fair crack at it.....would be one of the first players i would pick if i was to chose a team...GUN!!!!!

Ill think ul find Killa that the scenario ur referring to never took place at all! Which has been brought to Curleys attention from players who were supposedly involved! Some of whom are his best and closest mates which makes that rumour a load of hog wash! Whether he choses to believe that is his call! U need to get the real reasons why the boy is leaving! Mainly the opportunity to play an advanced role on the field (more then just a back pocketer) nd a chance to prove to himself nd I'm sure his doubters that he can do it!

I think the whole recruitment of curls was mainly driven by hayes wanting to put the wind up souths! If it was a lee Schmidt or Allan margatich u might start to worry but Ill think ul find them cope ok!

ill say that that is crap...i talk to the players supposedly who said something on a daily basis and i can tell you they all rang him when they found out this rumour to try and find out where it originated. he didnt disclose the name at first but it has since been found out. all the players rang to tell him it didnt happen. his own brother in law thinks its a load of crap also. no player has apologised because they have nothing to apologise for, it didnt happen.
and like i mention before he is leaving because he has been offered a larger role at West. from the conversations i have had with players who have recently sat down and talk to him i gather its some sort of leadership role (which he lost at Souths this year as he was no longer the V/C but still in the 'leadership group') and also the opportunity to play a bigger role further down the ground then the back pocket as he felt he had gone stale being pigeon holed as a 'backpocket' player.
