Willaston - No love loss here. The former Willaston A grade tap Ruckmen now coaching the Bulldogs always adds fuel to the fire.
Gawler Centrals - Craig Dawe has the boys poised to claim a big scalp.
Nuri - Top 3 side.
Angaston - To gain more percentage this week.

barossa- 11-20 willaston any chance at all?
Tanunda- 4 goals but if centrals get up the margin may be sizeable. when they win generally blow sides away.
nuri- 5 goals cragg sappsford out margin may not be as big as expected. who will ruck?
angaston- 11-20 on ball brigade to strong. when is bas due to return?

Outclassed by a better team P-Hitter.

Craig Dawe tore strips of his cubs after the game , its was heard from the clubrooms and must of pealed the paint off the change room walls.

We are all hoping Brad " Rocky Dennis " Taylor isnt out for the season , scans to confirm.

Heard a whisper that Matt Hermann is being touted as Dawes replacement if he Tigers dont finish top 4. Just on the hill gossip i am sure but Matty Hermann has done some fine work with the juniors and would make a suitable man manager at senior level.

I did tip Willaston , even though the core of the premiership side is still there the Dogs just dont seem to function as well under Nelson.

Oconnor has relinquished his duties with Kilburn and BD players have already been on the phone asking for his return in 2010. Heath Commane has openly said that if Nelson is there next year he is gone , must be some sort of personality clash there. Rian Nelson has been at the Dogs a long time and is well liked amongst the Kennell.

P-Hitter whats your assesment of the Dogs performance under the guidance of Nelson ?

O'Connor going back to the Bulldogs would be the best thing for Barossa, Nelson has taken a team from in the top 2, to from what I can see, out of the finals. When he got his second year a number of players left the club. After this season who will also go. All you have to do is look at the team's that are put on the ground from week to week. Barossa played a 16 year old boy & a 40 year old man. If that club dosen't even think about looking at O'Connor and see what Nelson has done to that club then they get what they deserve.

Anti dog you sound like a bitter and twisted individual - FYI Barossa Districts played last seasons' Grand Final (2008) - Guess who coached them ? Was it You ???? didn't think so. How about giving Nelson a bit of credit. The BL&G appointed him as Asst Coach for the Assoc match, and they could've chosen anyone else (even you!). He lost at least 6 first choice players from last years GF team and is developing an entire new list. How about a little respect. Any idiot can get on here and bag people hiding under the anonymity of a blog psuedonym. How about telling us all your footy credentials before you pass judgement on others.

i wasnt at the match on saturday was busy scouting in the SAAFL for a mate a willaston to add some more experience to their list for next year. what came through the tin can express to me about the dogs was that their big three, spencer, commane and christie do alot the guidence and leadership of the group and when they are stopped the dogs get exposed.

Apparently there was a lot of bickering between players in the barossa camp and undisciplined football with many 50 meter penalties being handed out costing them goals. not sure how nelson is going to address this with only 8 games to go and the dogs needing to win 6 of them to play finals.

I doubt its all a problem with the coach at barossa and it would take a pretty rude move to pull the rug from under his feet and be replace with a coach that left them for greener pastures. I heard a whisper that Christie might be the next coach of the dogs if nelson isn't the one to win their next premiership.

Your tige's wouldn't be too disappointed with the effort against tanunda on the mound and it would have been a spectacle to see these to go at it in a shoot off. Dawe doesn't quite have the cattle to beat tanunda at their own fast paced power game which means only the staffordshire terrier's tigers might be the only hope left for grand final fans to get their monies worth this year.

Would be a shame for the great BT to end his career this way.

not sure Vdog.. have to wait on pac-man for the news on thomas, altho it wouldn't be uncommon for players to pull up sore after playing the magpies.

Sorry Ruben, I did not know we had to put our footy credentials down when we came onto this web site. If you can’t say what you think on this site and only tell the truth then what Pac-Man wrote about the BD players asking for O’connors return & that Heath Commane will leave if Nelson is the coach in 2010 must be true.

Fair cop. What PacMan should do if he has any credibility is let us know WHERE and WHEN Commane "openly said" what he claims was said, and was he there??? If it was openly said, who else heard it ?? I reckon it's a croc.
I still maintain you are very unfair about Nelson though, I think he's done a good job with the cattle he's had as his disposal. BTW. He had 2 16 y/olds playing last week and both did pretty well. Do you have a problem with him developing youth ??

Whilst on the topic of coaching, I overheard an interesting converation regarding the upcoming advertised South Gawler top job. South have aprroached or have atleast requested the resume of a current assistant coach from another Gawler based club.
Hint - His mentor is the Master.

Would his initials happen to be SK? if so that would have to be one of the worst rumours I have ever heard Pitbull.

Team Plyd Won Lost
Tanunda 8 7 1
Nuriootpa 8 7 1
Angaston 8 6 2
Gawler Central 8 5 3
Willaston 8 4 4
Barossa District 8 4 4
Kapunda 8 2 6
South Gawler 8 1 7
Freeling 8 0 8

At the completion of the first round, we can now begin to make a fair appraisal of the ladder. Top three appears set with no surprises. The only possible change is that Willaston or Barossa could take Centrals claim on the fourth position.
Pac-Mans boys may be getting the wobbles!

Could only be Bustling Ben Walton, Seelander doesn't have an assistant coach.

I don't think Ben would throw his hat in that ring, coaching south would be about as attractive as coaching richmond at the moment.
