having trouble with a little knee niggle, believe he asked not to be put up for selection, footy boots.

what a joke the association needs to look in2 this, happens all the time with ex sanfl players pulling out of assoc team. just shows why these blokes play footy and it aint for the love of their club!!
at least a one game suspension should be handed out here, that will hurt the hip pocket
dont think there is anything sus behind this. hard to say he dosnt play for the love of the club when he is playing for freeling who arnt going the best atm.
a grand in the hand each week makes it alot easier to love the club ;) ;) why would he want to play for nothing in the assoc side and risk that payment?
I see the truth is slowly getting out & it takes an association game for you blind bats to see Eichners not out there for the love etc, i bet he couldn't give a rats toss about Freeling its only who fills his pockets up on a sat night after the game is who he cares for.
well i herd somthing along the grape vine that your club no mercy couldnt afford him. a little jelous are we.

Few conversation starters...

F. Foulis (Nuriootpa) Kennedy (Tanunda) Bain (Angaston)
HF. Pech (Angaston) Britton (Tanunda) Commane (Barossa District)
C. Spencer (Barossa District) Greenwood (Tanunda) Baker (Willaston)
HB. Schmidt (Tanunda) Kaesler (Tanunda) Leske (Freeling)
B. Sharp (Barossa) Christie (Barossa District) Gibson (Nuriootpa)
Ruck. Wells (Tanunda) Newberry (Tanunda) Norworthy (Willaston)
Inter. Thomas (Gawler Central) Walton (Willaston) Edwards (Nuriootpa)
Howard (Gawler Central)

2nd ruck
Howard (Gawler Central) Leske (Freeling) Bain (Angaston)
what a joke hahn isnt there no doubt he will be right next week, wonder if milky vivian being a selector has anything to do with just 2 gaw centrals players being selected. vaentine i can accept as he has always put his hand up previously. no dawes? in alot better form than norsworthy IMO
Im sure Dawes would have played but when he shows the xrays of a hairline fracture in his cheek, why play him?
Valentine would of loved to have played to push for a spot in the State country side again but he only had scans on his knee yesterday to determine the injury.
Way too harsh on Hahn also, get your facts right there before commenting.
And the best ruckman in the league Matty Lutze has a hamstring strain so not available!!!!

Interesting views on Norsworthy Daysof!!!!!
just stating a fact lace out just looking at best players dawes has always been high in best so therefore in better form than norsworthy IMO.
as i said i can understand valentine as he has put his hand up in the past
ok smart ass whats hahns problem then? completed the game last week kicked 10 cant be too much wrong with him, would he have played if central were playing 2moro thats the question that needs to be asked?
it seems that not too many of the highly paid players in the league want to play, is it because they dont get paid to play? maybe the association should look at paying them in this game with all the money they make from petty fines. and pay them the same amount that their club pays them, now that would be interesting, could be quite a difference between what the player says he is on and what their club says he is on ;)
I like your idea here Daysofourlives, but instead of just straight payments for players in the association team, maybe the league could look at giving hefty amounts for their top 7 players on the day... I bet everyone will want to play then.

My club showed no interest whatsoever in him, they would of known he was only looking at how deep his pockets were & how much he could fit in them!

bag and sledge-yeah thats a good idea as well, but like the idea of the conflict between the player telling the truth about what he gets and the club lying bout what they give him. could just se it now, lets use say kennedy as an example kennedy says im getting 800 game and his club says na hes only getting 300, would be hilarious i reckon

I don't know what your caper is Daysy but Tanunda have 7 listed which is 33% of the side. Kennedy is out due to genuinely doing his ancle at rep training and may even miss the following game. Perhaps some positive spin in your increasingly stupid posts would be good, "What a Joke" seems to be your regular comment.

Can't see how Diddles Harvey missed an invitation to train with the rep side, havn't seen to many blokes grab the ball out the middle and kick goals from out side 50 like he does on a regular basis. I would compare him to a M Ricutto style player. Interesting what the players think about rep footy a couple that I have spoken to said the only good thing about the event is that its played on a long weekend. As for the under 23 rule what a load of crap play your best side or forget the game. I'm sure most of these guys have had a crack at junior league level and either couldn't handle the level of comitment or not good enough.IMO leave rep footy to the kids.

i would say 7 is a fair representation. was just commenting on what i heard about tuesday night training as i think the league is very soft on players that have a mysterious "injury". correct me if im wrong but i believe only 2 clubs and 3 players have ever been suspended
by the way 7 out of 22 is 31.8% and with kennedy now out it is 27.27% ;)

i would suspect a few penalties to be handed out by the league in the aftermath of many dubious late withdrawals 2 week injuries they should be..

it is supposed to be a priviledge to pull on the leagues jumper and represent your club as one of the best 21 footballers. pride and tradition is dying a slow death in country football today.

Hey Days probably want to check your maths, Swooper is right if there are 3 on the bench it is 33% (not 31.8%) with 7 and 28.6% (not 27.27%) with 6. Looks like you have a problem with firing your mouth off before checking your facts. I reakon the Blockies have a massive rep when you look at that side even if Kennedy is not playing, I also heard that he did his ancle at rep training the Blockies will be happy with that. Last weekend against Freeling the Blockies had some big names on the sidelines (Kieboom, T. Schiller & Prior - injured through the game), all capable of playing rep footy, thats probably why at least Schiller and Prior are not named. Interesting to see that Nuir only have 2 in the side, lets not forget they beat the Blockies so I would say they are the side that are under represented.

Good job by Freeling last weekend up to half time then the Greenwood machine took over and killed the legs, how he wasn't BOG has got me stuffed. Eichner played a lone role in defence and was outstanding.

All 6 or 7 best players today for the Barossa and Gawler association team should receive cash awards as a bonus for performing and making the side.
Yes it is an honour to play for your association but we have players coming up with niggling injuries again and its not fair on the association committee and players that would never get that opportunity to play that would want to have a crack.
Everyone has to be positive about the concept of association football, as a kid everyone wants to play, but as a senior its not as important.
If we have negative vibes and negative people about the concept, it will continue to be non appealing.
Im sure if we can get more hype about it and offer incentives to better players who perform on the day along with the state country selection concept we can still make the concept work.

Thanks for the support Skip but I don't really care about a few %. I think Daysy has admitted that he/she did not know that there where 7 Tanunda players named (Kennedy probably out due to an ancle injury) despite the team being listed on this site before Daysy shot his/her mouth off. Even if 6 Tanunda players play it is a big effort by Tanunda and I would think Daysy would retract his/her comment that they are the Geelong of the BLG.

Skip - Prior, Kieboom & Schiller are all injured, Kieboom would not make it anyway but the other two would if they where alright, pretty sure both played last season.

Take that one on the chin Days should have checked to see that there where 4 on the bench not 3. Did watch Tanunda last weekend and I know that they had some big names on the sidelines but they are not as good as last season, hardly the Geelong of the BLG.
