Can I guess those two payers not making friends from within were brothers? Seelander had the choice of keeping either 2 brothers or a pair of cousins and decided that the latter were the problem for his club to move forward (questionable decision in my and many other peoples eyes).

dont know where u get ur info from osama but there was no choice made at all, the cousins decided to chase some coin, seelander would have loved to of kept them both. the brothers are great clubmen and are highly respected by the rest of the players

well i don't think many people were expecting GC to flog the Donny's but by the look of that score they destroyed them...

Ango and Doggies result would surprise a lot of people (including me)... just shows how close this year will be...

Tanunda's win wouldn't have surprised anyone...

Kapunda's very gwd win over south... wow... thats all i can say...

Underbelly - There will sure be a few Ollyisms that you can be assured of. Firstly, he will famously currently be identifying his premiership players, who and who won't be part of that vision. Secondly, if you can't hear his quarter time addresses, just make sure you go and listen when he decides to go to the outerside wing to give an ear bashing. Very good entertainment.

First to admit I wasnt there personally there to witness the game yesterday, but I have been told by numerous sources who were there, from what could be heard from the sidelines from Willaston players, that statement couldn't be further from the truth...

One was along the lines of, when they play are team game they are great but on most occasion like now, they ruin the team...

But again, second hand, but not the first time I'ver heard this from the Donnybrook crew...

From where i stood Luke Howard dominated the ruck and around the ground. Not sure who the Willaston guys in the ruck are but they were monstered by Howard, probably best on ground in my books. Hahny kicking 10 was a class above anyone else but i must say the delivery into the forward line from the likes of Taylor , Jenner , Thomas and King was first class. Not alot defenders can do when you are getting silver service like that.

Was hoping to see the goal kicking machine Les Baker have a impact against quality oppostition but he was rarely sited , think he kicked 1 for the afternoon. Would like to see the inside 50's stats but i doubt he would of had too many opportunities, the tigers just dominated the stopages and were ferocious with there attack at the pill.

Well down Craig Dawe, good win. The third and premiership qtr was sensational.

Being an old Willaston player myself I saw yesterday as a great way to get back to where it all began for me as a player, a fair while ago now i must admit. What i witnessed was a complete disregard for that old saying "pride in the jumper". All i saw and heard was a bunch of blokes abusing each other, not willing to go in and get the footy when it was there turn. There so called "big game" players went missing when the heat was on with one of them not even bothering to chase his opponent out of defence, preferring to sit at home in the confines of the goal square.
Plain and simply the coaching staff of Willaston were out coached. Seelanders ability not to make any moves whatsoever shows what the club has got to work with this season. 5 minutes to go into the last quarter, what a great time to put someone different on Centrals full forward, after hes already kicked 10 goals. That was one of many that left me and my mate that tagged along with me scratching our heads.
There are some players in that Willaston side who dont warrant a-grade footy, lets be honest. They are only there for the royalties after the game. I hope that those "big game" players i talked about previously donated there little envelopes back to the club; cause if they thought they deserved any sort of recognition for a performance like that they need to take a good hard look at themselves.
I really shouldnt of expected much more as looking through the results who have Willaston beaten lets be honest. The first sign of any sort of heat or competition the Willaston side of years past would of stepped up to the plate, this new side went into their shells yesterday and it was there for all to see. The exodus of cars at 3 quarter time was testimony to that.
I cant wait to read the responses, or should i say excuses from Pinchitter and Daysofourlives for what i saw yesterday. They were very quick to run me down a couple of weeks ago when i was last on this blog.
I went back to the club yesterday boys hoping to see a good game against a cross town arrival; what i saw and heard was a team of blokes abusing each other and not willing to do the team things. It's like a cancer it spreads very quickly, Seelander needs to put a stop to this as it has been brewing for a number of seasons. I heard alot of abuse yesterday from the sidelines, with the two main culprits not making many friends amongst the playing group. After listening to Seelanders 3 qtr time address im not sure he can talk to the boys loud enough for his message to be heard.

i was there also and wfc were smashed in every position bar nottle at full back and lone hand by harvey in the middle, the tigers were great from start to finish and the donnybrooks had no answers on the day.

a 15 goal smashing would have been a hard pill to swallow for any player in the team so who cares if they were frustrated with their efforts all this other rubbish your going on a about is just an uneducated spectators opinion which you are entitled to.

speaking to the players after the game they were disappointed with efforts and respectful of how good centrals were on the day which is far from the kemotherapy penuts like you suggest they need.

Hopefully the result will ensure you don't attend any more games if your the type of supporter willaston has to rely on when things don't go to plan, they don't need people who just jump on the bandwagon when they win and try derail it when they don't.

yeah howard absolutely dominated on saturday easily best on ground even in front of hahn kicking 10. richie is probably at the same stage that howard was at 4-5 years ago, takes time for young ruckman to hit their straps and what richie has shown so far this year has been way above expectations, that was easily his worst game for the season but he was certainly no orphan there

so going on saturday's performance, if you were an association selector would you consider Howard being one of the ruckman...

Seems as though as soon as willaston is challenged the players seem to turn on each other. It really shows aswell. I seem to think this was the same in previous years aswell. There is a difference between being a good loser and a bad one. No one likes losing but i think some players have to realise that your playing a team game and your TEAM MATES are your best mates. There the only ones that can be with you and there for you in the heat of the battle.

IMO he has to play, he has been gc's best for trhe last 3 games and if they pick players on form rather than reputation he plays

It seems these boys have become bigger than the club. The club/coach seems too scared to pull them into line. Cant be good for the young lads coming through and supporters.

the lads shaked the oppositions hands after the game and even had a beer with a couple tigers after the game, so somehow the 'bad loser' comment doesn't hold water.

all the teams i have seen play that have been beaten in the contest this year has had players emotions get the better of them.. if they weren't emotional about being belted there'd be something wrong. when willaston beat tanunda in the last quarter this year tanunda's players boiled up a bit so to suggest this is a problem is far fetched and had bugger all to do with what happened on the scoreboard...

willaston couldn't get near the footy for 3 quarters so somehow i doubt your philosphy of being a good loser would have changed the result. if there was some frustrated players it would be more to do with the embarrasment of being the piggy in the middle in what was a training drill at times for gawler centrals than the players not being mates.

you can bash wfc all you like but the reality is gawler centrals were far superior on the day, had more players contribute and deserve full credit for dominating the contest.

I want to Congratulate Matthew Doecke on what has been a fantastic 300 games, pretty sure out of those 300 he has only played a few bad ones, very consistent footballer. I was honoured to play under him as a young guy, and admired the way he went about every game of football. Great to see he kicked 5 goals on the weekend, i wonder how many of them were running through the 50m line and kicking on the run from 45, something in his hay day he would do very very often, great player great clubman, and great bloke. and Daysofourlives i think we both know if he wanted to play 400 it would happen still super fit, and obviously still got ias he showed on the weekend. i will say something though he would of been a little painful saturday night after im guessing alot of beers, serial pest when drunk,
