Since when hav umps rewarded the in and under players with votes over the ball carriers!!
The reason why I said it as they stand out more for the umpire, umpires rarely remember that outside running as they are concentrating on contests. I agree with you it shouldn't be like that, but most players have won medals in football are the one under the umpire noses.

Some of the players they would be talking to most likely have links with South and have friends playing there at the moment. There have been alot of quorn people play for South in their club history. South dosen't pay players for sake of it as it is the ones they need to keep.

Also a lot of colts from Quorn play for Souths, probably keeping up appearances. I wouldn't read too much into it.

I heard a rumour that Wade Thompson has signed up with Westies for next year, anyone heard this at all?

My contacts at Centrals tell me he is a big chance to play there instead of Wests

One would think Wade would wait and see what happens at draft time to see if he would get pick up? Wouldn't he?

Solo seems like a good excuse, but why would they take a car load upto Quorn and meet with someone in the pub when there South/ BMW lads were playing cricket?

I suppose the old saying is South never pay there players and develop there youth. Good motto that?

Yeah Cella Dwella I was surprised myself when I heard that....how's Sollies recruitment going for next year?
Sorry I forgot to reply back when you sent this! I don't have much to do with recruiting (probably because I cant keep my mouth shut!). I have heard along our little grapevine that we are a good chance to keep most of our players. I m not 100% sure on Tyrone returning but have a feeling he will. We have apparently lost pickles back to Southern Flinders. In addition I am aware of the possibility of a couple of guns from town being semi keen through our Bickley connections I think and Im also hopeful of a couple more returned players.

I posted some time ago how I thought Souths were a club that brings there kids through well and respected them for that. Seems like I might be wrong if they are doing this when they have a good team anyway (and should be showing confidence with those they have .) They were unreal against us and hope they dont make the mistake of blowing away there good work and losing players to bring others in. Maybe they are trying to get B graders because they were not that good this year. Who is their B grade coach?

Pretty much spot on. Our B Grade coach is Brad Elson and we went to Quorn to touch base with him and talk to the guys who we have heard are unhappy with BMW, who also have to pay their own way to training. At least we'll pay their fuel to train/play.
However, their is also a footballer that is moving to Quorn that we hope to find a job.

I have also heard:

T.Price to West Augusta
M.Woolford to Ports - last that I've heard. Centrals/Ports the only 2 that I've heard are in the race.
I can confirm J.Dodd to West. Centrals trying to keep him.

There is apparantly 2 young Aboriginal boys from Mallee Park. 1 has an affiliation with Gary Hull and may end up at Central - he went to South Africa on that football tour 2 years ago.

Correct Killa, I'd be the 1st one out the door and I know one other player that would have left.

Yeah Jason was really unlucky with the ankle injury he got mid-season. When he returned he wasn't on the ball as much as he was at the start of the year. In the games he did play well, he was unlucky to continually pick up the 1 Vote.

The Fiebig's were Southies back in the 80's before they moved away.
I believe he is family with the Broadbridge's but they aren't really heavily involved with the club.
He may have made friends with a few West boys that work in Whyalla.
