Yep "Dipper" Keatley is a quality footballer and doesn't mind a sip as well. Played with him at Jamestown and he dominated some games there. Reckon he could have made it a North Adelaide if given half a chance..

PPL, How's Flemo going this year with Ports?

Flemo is having a good year with Ports. He has been one of their better midfield players. He absolutely crunched a Centrals player on the weekend with a superb, and fair, hip and shoulder.

Keatley won the mail medal or what ever they call in in SGL last night, and Burford won the Pirie "your not the best in the league, but for our town your not too bad" Recorder Medal.

The media awards are counted, and in a game where players from each team can be awarded 9 points down to one, similar to the brownlow etc, Fiebig leads with 101 votes from 17 games.
It's called the 9 star rating.
The nearest player to him is said to be on 70.
Still one game to go in our minor round, but i'd back Feebs in easy for the major one, to be held before preliminary final i believe on a tuesday evening.

What cracker this week in Port Augusta
After South lost to Port by 5 pts. With a short suspect quarter only going around 29 minutes with 10 goals and 5 points scored. However South cost themselves the game with bad skill errors with port making everything out of it with there possession. Also the lead goal scorer Amos didn't score at all.

West beat Centrals in the elimination. Rumors in the Centrals camp that they were think about next week and what they are doing after the game. Central were only up by couple of goals.

So, South V West for that Grand Final spot against Port. This game I believe will be nail biter. Winner of this game will be Premiers 2007. History shows the team goes straight in the grand final loses the grand final. The percentage is about 70% in the last 10 years.

What are your prediction of the game and the X factor.

My X factor are:
South
Harris, Shillabeer, Amos, Reid, Struck

West
Warren, McDonald, Hobbs, Zubrinich, J Coulthard

Yeah, the purple pokers got past west, in what i would describe as somewhat of an upset.
I don't see this being a nailbiter.
South have too much class.
And Amos rarely strings two quiet games together.
If he's fired up, West are in trouble.
Think Jason Lukic might have to step up this game, it will be a tough one, but South, on paper, should win it, and by rights go into a grand final that EVERYONE wants to see.

The mighty Bulldogs prevail in what must have been a see sawing game. Port up by 32 at the half. West kick 9 in the third and Port kick 6 in the last to run out 23 point winners. Whilst I left Pirie many years ago I continue to follow my old clubs progress and am thrilled to see them claim premiership number 7 in 11 seasons. The Port Football Club is a great club and will comtinue to be for many years to come. There arent too many bigger clubs in SA tham Ports. Well done Bulldogs.

The dominance of Port this decade is amazing, because they broke a 27 year drought in 1997 and now can't help but win them!
