Spoke to a friend yesterday about the issue, told that the goal umpire is that dedicated he will be peeling his own oranges.

What a story, the thought of a former goal umpire taking the helm of a top BLG club is almost as amazing a the competitions first female field umpire.

I guess the writing was on the wall for the BLG when Barossa won its first ever final last year.

My question is why wouldnt Barossa Districts have shown there current coach the door after finding out mid year he was seeking out the Kilburn job in 2008 ?

Maybe its a money issue but if a coach is not in your clubs plans for the following season you move them out and move forward eg Connelly , Pagin, Daniher etc ...... Sheedy is another story , 27 years probably warrants seeing the year out .

Why kick out a coach that has got the club to top spot. and to there first grand final in 10 years. I would say the people at the club think very highly of occoner and want him to stay.
