Fantastic fight and a fantastic crowd that day (not behaviour wise but in numbers), i believe tha A grade game was stopped while the fight spilled out into the southern goals, the 4 major southern clubs involved, Reynella, morphies, valleys and brighton. But i'm not to sure on the year, i don't think it was 2004, 2003 i think. The southern footy league gf mis now held at South Adelaide fc, good move or not?

Just saw this DW....

I wasn't involved in that premiership, had left for Renmark by then.
But Mark Westley forgot the guernseys in 2001, and the Wunkar Football Club was kind enough to lend their colts jumpers to the Paringa lads.
Luckily, the guernseys arrived before the team photo was taken.

Adelaide Plains GF is always well supported especially if there is a good mixture of footy and netty clubs represented.

Not sure how many were at this years GF, Mallala vs United, would guess 2500 to 3000.

Is Lyrup the club where the infamous Dave Dolheguy achieved legendary status?
Or was it at Berri where he came to the notice of AFL recruiting scouts? Possibly 3-4 turning up each week to watch him?

2003 Noarlung v Valley (valley won) I agree Pt Noarlunga great venue, atmosphere, crowd, and a real country feel with barbies etc but can't say the same for the South Adelaide move,no atmosphere,no crowd and a very sterile feel!!!! BRING IT BACK TO Pt NOARLUNGA! :x

Crowd at this weekend's match between Waikerie and Renmark could usurp most grand final crowds.
They reckon 4000 could be going through the gate to watch Roo and Mods go at it.
Not bad for a regular season match.
