I was simply saying to have a look at some of the younger talent. Take a relax tab mate..
He might not go backwards, so he may not be a worse player, but no way in the world world will he become the best player he possibly could be.
Kids that are given things on a platter, dont really have to work hard etc in juniors usually find out the hard way it gets you nowhere.
if anyone thinks cruising in a poor junior program is good for a talented player they are kidding themselves.
The best thing for the long term future of the comp is to make sure there is a strong junior program, that will, in the future, create a strong senior comp and teams wouldn't have to recruit half a side to be competitive. Clearly numbers are the current problem, so the question is, what is the league doing to make junior footy more enticing to young kids, they cant leave this purely up to the clubs!
