Still I haven't heard a solution from you and you seem to be the resident HFL genius.
Which position do you currently fullfill and will i expect to see you at the meeting?

You are definitely not alone in ranting on here. There's too many keyboard warriors on here who hide behind an alias & don't even put the actual club their allegiance is with (unless there has been a major shake up that no one knows about, Wunkar are not in the HFL) but still make comments on how the process should work without having even been involved in the process.
I have posted my solution plenty of times before but will save you the trouble of trying to find it. If there are 2 neighbouring clubs both struggling with junior numbers then a merger could be the solution. The word genius gets bandied around way too much so I cant accept that honour but thanks for the nomination.
I am on the Onkas Junior committee & am the HFL junior rep from Onkas who goes to all the meetings so yes you will see me there. Even went to the AGM & will be going to the 2nd AGM in February. I'll take a wild guess & say you're not on any committee of any HFL club & haven't been to any HFL meetings.

Hahahaha you're taking a stab at me personally but I like being a 'Warrior' it has a great tone to it! Especially if you say it with a deep voice and slowly.
Anyway, thank you for allowing me to rev you up; maybe next time you attend a meeting it will spur you onto leading positive action beyond the scheduling of the next meeting date

Not taking a stab at just you. You're not the only "Warrior", probably a million more like it. Sorry.
Not revved up at all now, sitting at the computer with a can of Jack & the air cond going, how could I be revved up. Maybe earlier when I was in & out of the truck, that sucked.
So I wont see you at the next meeting. Shame as I'd love to hear you speak up at one of them & tell everyone how it should be but I doubt it will happen. Just like the so called "vote of no confidence" & board spill was meant to happen at the AGM. Actually it was funny to see the unanimous support of the board considering some of the comments on here, clubs are either lying to forum users or have a totally different opinion of the HFL board to them. The next JD meeting is the 1st Monday in March if you change your mind.
Shit, can of Jack empty, will have to go to the bar fridge for another, that's a 10 metre walk away from the A/C so now I am getting revved up. Thanks for that Champ you beep beep beep beep & your also a beep beep beep. I wasn't swearing mods, honest.

The Blackwood Football Club has taken the decision to enter our C Grade team into the Amateur League (SAAFL) for season 2014.
This was a difficult decision and not one taken lightly as we are fully supportive of the Hills Football League.
Ultimately we believed it was important that our players had the opportunity to play Saturday football in a full 18 round competition. We were not sure this would occur in the Hills League C grade competition.
It is now critical that we see as many players as possible at preseason. Please call Adam Pope on (0410438969) if you have any questions, or to introduce new players.
The C Grade will be in either the C3 or C4 division of the Amateur League; we will be advised in late January.
We feel this decision creates the opportunity for all BFC players to be involved in a quality, full season competition and to enjoy their football to the fullest.

very intersting on a number of levels. while i understand the logic behind the decision, it just adds weight to the fact that blackwood are a metropolitan club playing in a country league. the sooner the rest of the bfc teams leave the hfl the better.

the other impact of this is that it will spell the end of the hfl c grade (although this is not blackwoods fault as they have done a good job in fielding a team every year). bad news for the milang boys though.

Do they normally charge an entry fee to C grade Hills games? Blackwood wont be able to do that if they do make the move to a SAAFL C grade division

No charge to C grade games in the HFL. And just because Blackwood have gone to SAAFL that doesn't mean it's the end of C grade. As I understand it Ironbank want to field a C grade team again and then you add Milang, Uraidla, Bridgey as well as the usual 1 or 2 other additional teams that enter. That makes a 5 or 6 team comp which is more than efficient to get a C grade comp up and going. Clubs need to buy into playing after the A grade on Saturdays though as this eases the load on volunteers such as trainers, boundary/goal umpires, water boys, runners etc etc.

So will it be a set Blackwood C-Grade squad for the year? or will they need to be cleared between leagues each time a player is promoted, or dropped from B-Grade?

Or will all the Blackwood players be registered with the HFL, and the SAAFL not bother with teamsheets/sportingpulse etc as its only C-Grade?

You seriously think this is an option?

Would have thought Blackwood could only do it if there was no C grade offered by the HFL.

Wow...some time away from here & some sh%t has gone down!
I won't shy away from being a Lofty man/ex player & am therefore disappointed in the club going to Country. Rules are rules though. I have faith in the club to earn the right to get back up & compete in Central again.
So...Echunga. Anyone clued in as to where they're at with their promotion? How's their financial/juniors/recruitment sitting?

Apparently a number of solid sponsors on board with talk of a player budget upward of $100,000. Junior numbers building but concerns amongst the kids as to quality. Talk also that senior coach, who works with Indigenous kids, is looking to bus up juniors to bolster numbers, It could be suggested that there is no long term value there but may help with initial competitiveness. Time will tell.
