I guess unless you were actually out there you wouldn't really know what happened, because there's two different sides to the story.
Not sure if Dan did anything to provoke Luke or not, but if he did say or do something it must have been pretty harsh to cause that sort of attack.

DW Are you going to release your thoughts/notes on the A grade final. I'd be interested to know how many Waikerie players are "imports'. My understanding is Loxton went with locals and that Leigh Kruger and Daniel Fisher were the only additions to last year's team which lost Fromm, Quinn, Portolesi, Thiele and a couple of others. How does each team measure up with local versus import balance. I take it Loxton North went with local product and has a good junior list developing. Because the Riverland is 2-3 hours from the city/elsewhere it must be hard to attract paid players.

theres as much need to go over old ground as there is for cm to come up with bull plop lines like hes a thug.
if cm is willing to sit on here think he is anonymous to nearly everyone and say what he likes i can too.
video ive seen of the game shows the "thug" being roughed up most of the match and then he defended himself when he was charged at with an elbow.
where as sam brand grabbed the smallest bloke on the field, after giving away a free, pussied up and punched him.

Anyway.....

SF - my notes from the grand final (these are just rough notes I made during the day to help later in the week).

First quarter -

First goal inside 30 seconds from the centre square.
James Plant on Liddle - covering him early.
Waikerie's first three shots from wide angles in the right pocket.
Loxton's pressure in forward lines intense.
Clonan - Waikerie's first goal 20 minutes in
Tigers need to score more into the breeze.
Braden Smith scored the third - long shot
Kruger playing smart
Clonan/Stevens keys.

Second quarter -

Bronte Manuel on Stevens (he may have been before this, not sure).
Liebich first goal of second quarter.
Waikerie in front first time five minutes in.
Waikerie crumbers more efficient. Dominant around packs.
Loxton not delivering forward well - bombing.
Jamahl Liddle running around through midfield and into defence.
Poor decision making hurting Loxton. Could be in trouble
Kruger/Uren still good.
Stevens/Clonan on fire. Liebich target up forward. Plant good.

Third quarter -

Ash Montgomery - hanger/goal to start.
Scores level three mins.
Montgomery into game - three marks in quick time
Scores level again.
Hyde then kicked two in three minutes.
Fourth lead change
Jim Thompson carving up on wing.
Gibson goal, Waikerie charging.

Fourth quarter -

Loxton 30 points down early in last.
Monty's shanked shot probably last chance to break back.
Waikerie up 24 points 10 minutes
Steve Dubrich's second goal the sealer. He kicked another two minutes later.
Westbrook still getting plenty of touches.
Drop kick from goal square by Oliver.
Nick Uren sent off...Oliver received a free kick - easily there.
Tigers runner sent off.

Crushy you probaly know now who i am by now, are your posts on this site only to continue to endevour to try and rile up Cobdogla supporters. Question? if you continue to provoke someone and he retialates on or off the football field is his actions warranted. Whatever we do in life we are in control of our atcions at all times on or off the football field and should stand accountable at all times, would be a great society to live in if being able to square up all of the times we are hurt physically or mentally- Not a place i would like to live in or bring my kids up in. Crushy move on mate the Sam Brand incident was 4 to 5 weeks ago. Live today Dream tommorrow. Only my thoughts.

He got abusive at an umpire at a match. Not sure of the exact details but I understand he was way out of line and resigned shortly after.
