Some very ordinary hits by senior South Augusta players in off ball incidents seemed to spur Lions on.
South were probably on top until about mid way through the third quarter, when the resultant free kicks to Lions from a few incidents gave Lions the momentum

Great to hear the side that plays clean football wins, well done Lions, starved of success at senior level since their merger in 1994.

Very serious incident at 3/4 time in SGL it appears an umpire has been hit by a supporter, I'm sure we are going to hear more about this.

Amos and Martin are a disgrace should never pull dog jumper on again. Amos F'in idiot rusty having a shot decides go and punch the bloke standing the mark. Then Martin knocking out a bloke senseless. And for grantham he is no captain arse hole, especially coming behind and throwing three deep haymakers. There are about three blokes for south letting their team down which cost them the game.

An off duty police officer had full view of the Martin incident, not to mention dozens of Lions supporters who will be more than happy to give eyewitness reports. As for Amos, any person who does that when they're son plays in the same team is an absolute disgrace to the human race, let alone fotball.

No place for it in footy. Take up boxing if these blokes think they're that tuff. Guarantee they they wouldn't last a round. Agree that they should thro the book at em. Talked to young bloke who got hit he's pretty sore but said he's got the last laugh with a medal round his neck. Well done to the lions.
