Michael Trussell was named in the A's for the weekend clash against Hamley which I'm sure will put a few noses out of joint. He's been training well, but I reckon he's only been promoted because of his reputation. Too old and slow IMHO.

Heaps of dissapointed fans at Longies on Saturday after the late withdrawell of Truss before the game. Apparently he tore both hamstrings getting out of bed in the morning which will probably set his comeback date back a couple years.

Hamley jumped the tigers big time early but once United got going they managed to outscore the bombers 17 goals to 5 after qtr time. Still a fair bit of work to do for United if there going to be a contender this year, you can't afford to give 8 goal head starts to teams like Mallala and Hummocks. Already really looking forward to the couple weeks off coming up after this weeks game against Wakey, plenty of tiger players really need it.

we were over at the Postage Stamp in Wakefield when we heard Hamley were up by 8 over United in the first Q - didn't really believe it but looks like it actually happened - the Bombers must have hit the biggest wall ever at 1/4 time to not give a yelp after that.

It wasn't that Hamley hit a wall I think it was more that United just lifted their game and finally started playing some good footy. Hamley were good in the first qtr but the tigers were terrible.

The Tigers did have a very ordinary start to the match. Hard attack at the footy from Lurch, Broady, Schimmin and Sobes helped swing the game back the Tigers way in the second quarter. Hamley certainly ran out of puff in the second half though. They have some very talented players, but they lack a bit of fitness.

Broady been struggling a bit with injury this year so hasn't been in the same form as last year but I was still a bit suprised he wasn't picked considering some of the other names on the list. Don't worry though i'm sure he'll be firing at the business end of the year.

Yeah Swamp work gave me this new computer thingy. It took me a while to work out how to turn it on but i'm starting to get the hang of it.

from what I saw experience in the end won the day - Eagles ability to just play with cool heads in the heat of the final few minutes was the difference - Eagles little bloke on the ball was a good player (not sure of his name), Light was OK until he went off with an injury (looked like an ankle), Seccafien and Allmond stood out for the Roosters and an honourable mention to the biggest rooster of them all - played well on the ball and knock ruck.

I know what you mean Pint. I had to read the instructions for mine.

Biggest surprise omission from the Association squad is S.Jericho. Jezza bobs up every week and kicks a bag. How did he miss out?

hmm - reckon he was also the U21 player of the carnival for APFL last year in Snowtown - seems to be enough reasons to get into the squad at least.

He's certainly quality. It seems selection is based on Names only (with the exception of J.Earl :-k ). Form doesn't count for much!

He's either awesome or terrible, maybe thats an issue. Certainly one of the reasons he didnt stick it in town. Definately a talented player though, capable of winning a game off his own boot. Thats good enough for me!!!
Not sure how he went against quality opposition like last years finals for hummocks but he was a little quiet against Mallala earlier in the year. His bags have been against 9 vs Hamley and 6 vs TW, 0 vs Mallala, 2 vs United, 1 vs Virginia. A bag this week vs United might help his cause i would think
