Martin Leslie appointed to coach the Tigers last night for two years. We have a lot of work to do between now and April with recent departures but as they say 'Rome wasn't built in a day'. The ressies winning was a positive step for the club, we have good juniors however the u/17's and stepping stone to senior footy is still our biggest problem. It will still be a few years (obviously) until we get the good 13's and younger 15's pushing through to League footy, most other clubs get 3-4 come through each year, I don't think we will have one this year.

That said, we have several players interested in donning the sash to rebolster the side.
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....

Well done to ML on his appt.
Bostons, Tasmans and Souths this year gave the league back something it has been missing for awhile - competitiveness and a degree of uncertainty when you wanted to pick a winner.
When you look at the bigger picture, it would be good if that was to continue and therefore I hope you are right Panther in terms of "several players interested" (so long as they are not Rangers) ;)
Same for the other 2 clubs. Playing in a side that is continually down the bottom of the ladder is the pits for the individual, the club and the league. Need some cycles and from what I saw this year, the foot just might have been put on the pedal by those 3 clubs - now they have to turn it.

Still unsure who will coach us next year. Haven't heard the latest on Horgs. We are losing a few to Cougers apparantly. Mail is that Rangers will have a few back in Hayden Parker, Tim Brooks and one or two other retuning from Uni/work. Have also heard a couple of high profile recruits going that way too.

Any news on other clubs recruits/prospects?

Leslie left coaching the BFC in disgust at the lack of professionalism and commitment by the players. Has that changed?

Sigh......

Marty had a year off due to an ill father and the prospect of going to Adelaide to see his kids more often.

The above blatant trolling, or you simply have no idea what you are commenting on, one of the two, was the reason this thread went to crap. I used to love reading all the credible goss the early posters used to submit.

Idiots like you and Leo are a disease to the EP thread...I believe Leo is on his last chance.

How certain are you of this? I've heard he may already have a contract with Imperials in the River Murray League for next year.

Back to the family farm I'm told.

Anyone know about Tyson Wait's movements? I hear he's finishing uni this year. Might consider moving home...

Don't know about locally but can tell you that Tintinara Stubbies lost to Western Flat and was just wondering why that result didn't make the headlines in the press. ;)
