Second half dominance saw Waikerie home. Stevens BOG

Renmark won seconds in a thriller.

North colts easily.

Chopper to coach Barmera?

Waikerie too strong physically and more experience. Didn't allow Loxton to play their team game. Loxton were a chance in third term but Waikerie had a real purple patch and rattled on goals to be 20 up with breeze in last quarter. Chris Gibson unlucky not to rate a mention. Same for Loxton in that Leigh Kruger and Nick Uren were the 4 quarter contributors who set up some good plays. The umpiring is still way too inconsistent. especially in relation to soft free kicks which should be play on. They just want to be in the game , it seems , rather than letting the game flow. Waikerie too good, but Loxton receive full credit because they are all locals. And let's face it, Loxton do supply 2 teams in a 6 team comp. Imagine if they amalgamated, and with all local product too.

I'll unleash my notes on the game later on...

But briefly, I thought Kruger and in particular Uren battled very well for the Tigers.

Westbrook in the game also - however, where were his penetrating shots on goal? He didn't seem to want to let them loose.

As for the umpires - I thought they did a good job.

Yes, probably the best three umpires and didn't affect result. Just too many times they intruded on the game when they didn't need to. The reserves game was of a high standard.

I saw last half great game to watch.

A BD assist on goal in the third was a highlight.
