I am a heuskes fan now. He had such a bad rep, but after standing him at the Bay I worked out pretty quickly that he was a good bloke. Who is this young ruckman from compass. Would that be Webb?

Yeah i'm pretty sure that was his name. The big red haired kid. Had a few good games and got a bit of a big wrap in the paper and then went missing a bit late in the year.

I rate Webb. He is obviously massive, but last last year he just started to do a bit more around the ground which is a good sign for Compass. Probably just needs a bit more mongrel but he is still pretty young

Compass are they in trouble? According to mallee forum Schmidt, Bailey and Jako are heading back to Murrayville. According to the Barossa forum, Underwood is off to a club up that way and Panther 32 thinks that strath may make a play for Webb. On top of this, Braidwood has lost all interest. Whats happening up in the mountains?

Webby is definately a player of the future. It takes a while for kids like him to work out where their feet and and hands are ('cos I'm sure every morning when he wakes up they are a few inches further away than they were the day before). Showed some really good signs in 07 and will only get better. Ranga's usually poll pretty well to. Let me be the first to say he'll win a mail medal one day.

I heard from a reliable source that Myponga may lose a few of their H Valley recruits from '07, and maybe a local or two that aren't happy with the change of coach.

Wouldn't think that was the case cuzzy. Too many of the local blokes would get disgruntled if he was getting paid. Guys like Trav Griffen, Dustin Hirst, Hayden McKinlay could then start demanding coin.

You would definately hope that isn't true! From what i have heard he will be paid little coin on a performance based contract, no more than petrol money though. As LF has said, there is a huge amount of local players at the saints that are better than John Jared, he hasn't proved himself any where!

apparently popey didnt really have a choice, he wanted Chad Badenoch and another player from christies and they would only sign if John was signed on a contract and from what i have heard that figure was the deal. Lets just say if he rocked up at the bay or victor and other players knew he was getting that sort of coin i think their would be a mass walk out!
