Did anyone see those Beer Natzi's at the football on Saturday? 2 security guards were going around tipping out people's beer at the carpark end of the football.

I would have to say H.Parker...

How many Mail Medals has Habner won in his career???

Agree with you there bubbz Parks would have to be the best going around at the moment, 2 mail medals in 2 years and 1 of them in argueably the strongest league on the EP in the PLFL.

Beer, vodka, bourbon... port...

Carpark area (from the back of the far coaches box) marked with red paint line, right around to the umpires box on the Gas Catch side is a dry zone...

On the best EP player... Keatley is the best in PLFL, was very good Mortlock, was another good player at Country Champs.
Habner is the same, except that he went onto Country Champs and dominated...
And the lack of medal polling might've been his injury too...

Can see your line of thinking there MP, one thing about Habner if you talk to some of his teammates is for all his accolades and higher level footy that at club level he doesn't dominate or play anywhere near the level he obviously can, which with Parks he has played those games with Habner and performed most weeks the last 2 seasons with both his teams he has played for and won 2 medals doing so.

my point exactly - not a victory to get too excited about. Our lads were a bit ordinary for sure.

thats a bit rough on Swaff, sticky and doily there LDS.

firstly doily was a huge part of our back to back premierships until he did his knee which isnt easy to come back and perform from.

Sticky also was playing some great footy until he did his groin which he is still recovering from to get to full fitness.

Swaff is only young and started playing some really good footy. he is one that can be a game breaker if he got his chance.

so next time you bag ya players have a think about it. im sure these three will be up for selection as will be a few others...

habner seems to always play well at mortlock and at E.P but never in club games.
i would say maggot curtis is best player for a few reasons
1. he can play forward, back or in the midfield
2. he always seems to have time when he has the ball and uses it well
3. is a great on field leader
4. always just seems a class above whoever he is standing

Well done to Rangers on their win last weekend.
With a forecast for a dry day they should be a big chance this weekend.
I would have Damon Scott and Tokkas covering Harry and Phil Dudley. J Doudle to go to a forward pocket. Ideally Sarge would be full forward if fit and interested, with Simmo at their feet. With Brooksy & Carl across half forward they have 4 marking options. Ainsley is the key to the Peckers defence. He tends to zone off so Rangers would want to make him accountable by kicking to his man whenever he gets loose.
A few marks and goals early to apply scoreboard pressure will be the key.
It may come down the last 6-8 players in each team as depth may be a problem for Rangers. If their lesser lights can stand up like they did in the prelim they will give this a shake.

OL - BTB will be here for the grandy this weekend and I trust that he will buy me the drink for the bet I made with him on the W v MR game. (which I hope he knows about and accepts)
It appears that he has had a little bit of Tumby Bayitis in that he had booked the plane tickets for the grandy before they made it.

It shouldn't be up to BTB to cop any heat on our finals performances...that should be me as the senior coach of the WFC.

First and foremost let me say that the Marble Range football club demonstrated on the weekend that they are a committed team, a very strong club, and their efforts should be applauded by the football community, especially after their run of injuries during the season. They resinated as a team and held a firm belief in each other. Congratulations, and I wish each of the teams all the very best for the Grand Final.

Simply, we did not play well, we had just too many guys that did not come to play on Saturday... We went into the game without our CHF, FF and FB, with injuries to Wade, Kane and Noddy. We copped 2 major injuries - to Minya and Hunt before half-time and then just did not have the man power to run with and stop the running game of Marble Range. We made many changes but were outplayed by a more determined opposition. To say that we let anyone run free - is fanciful.

Certainly no excuses - no ifs and no buts - Marble Range were better on the day and they won.

There is always going to be questions asked and not answered around our season. We had a talented group who did not make the most of the opportunities presented.

If any of you feel the need to throw barbs then aim them at me - just like some of you have throughout the year. If you feel that I can't coach or that you could do a better job - then thats your opinion - the jobs open now and yours for the taking.

I am simply a coach taking responsibility for a poor performance. Take it as you will.....
