Eagles lost by a small margin last week to the second team, Balak got slaughtered. Eagles have beaten them this year in similar conditions to tomorrow; are these considered opinions from the experts?

If HWE can't beat a second string Balaklava tomorrow, something is seriously wrong with what the coach is doing. Balak were terribly depleted last week and seem to have resigned to the fact they wont be playing finals are blooding a few quality kids. I'm not tipping this season, but if I did, I'd be tipping HWE by 40+ tomorrow.

Lucky you aren't tipping swamp

Mallala by about 10 goals, mccabe listed on team sheet but didn't play.not sure why, maybe a injury in warmup?

So didn't play, only officially played 2 games... I'm sure he will play finals, because he is so "dedicated" to the Cause out at Hamley! 2 out of 16 ain't bad...

Looks like the informer has ran out of good things to say about clubs the story that written about the Two Wells footy club couldn't be any further from the truth as we always give our colts the opportunity to play at the highest level.

Who are Hamley playing this week? The chic train might cross the bridge to have a look. None of us have seen Valor get a kick so we hope he gets a touch. Hamley players get paid for finals! Toot toot!

Longies were up and about early yesterday. 6 goals to one 1 up before Two Wells took over and put them to the sword.

Be interested to hear the 'selfless' explanation behind Luke McCabe being named on the teamsheet, not striping down to his jumper and shorts, not running out with his team mates and not even walking off with them after they lost on Saturday, at the expense of a young player who was forced to play B grade. I'm sure he did it totally for the benefit of the football club, but I'm really struggling to see how :? Here's hoping there is a logical explanation after all that was said last week on here in his defence.

They showed what they are capable of at different stages, especially early, which was some high quality footy. I think its pretty clear they didn't have their best day, so it probably wisest not to read too much into the game at all to be honest. Depending on how each side looked at the match, it could be argued there wasn't much to gain or loose from Saturday (othe than injuries) given the finals format won't change. Taylor was BOG and Greenwood had a solid first half. Can't afford to read too much into it MH. Regardless, they'll be bloody hard to beat in September, as will Two Wells and Virginia. I think we're in for a few bloody close finals matches this year.

Mallala did that without Joel Montgomerie, Earl, Parish, Bruggemann, Saunders and Rob Montgomery.

Hamley had Heberle, McCabe and Sullivan out. Maybe one or two more.

Read into that what you will.

Luke injured himself during the warm up. It was only minutes before the start of the game and was too much of a hassle to bring someone up from the reserves at the last minute, so we opted to play with 2 on the pine. On the weekends game. Mallala are well and truly the premierships favourites for this year. Dismantled us with their precise kicking and run and carry around the ground (killed us in the second half)
Hard to take much out of the game with both coaches probably not wanting to flex their muscles until they meet again in 3 weeks. I know Red tried a few players in different positions (which didnt work on the day) but will no doubt go back to our traditional set up against Mallala in the second semi.
