Can't see moonta losing to wallaroo again can you westy? Your boys should account for pasky again I'd say. When's harradine and Sansbury back or are they already?

How many years has it been since Bute missed out on playing finals? From my memory it would be close to 10 or more.

It would be the first time in 17 years I think

Apparently it's before the league became the ypfl and was the yvfl. Maybe 1993???

Kadina going to pull their finger out Westy? Looked like they've been in 2nd gear all year and those CMS Crows look pretty good.

Your right mate. Bloods have not hit top gear yet. Nor will they this week. We have played 6 senior colts this year and 10 first gamers this year. Kadina looking after their long term future. Wonder how many kids the crows have played this year. I can think of 8 paid players that have played ever game this year.

4 of those 10 first gamers (minus the 6 colts) come from where Westy? Assuming the colts were all first gamers of course.

Are they local boys that have taken a little time to develop coming through the B grade (or new reruits)? Thats a great effort for any side let alone the reining back to back premiers. Good to see that their persistance has paid off for them if thats the case (coming through the local ranks)...

Do admire a persistant footballer with less natural talent but more desire!!!!

It has been good to see that Kadina have played a fair few colts this season and by doing that will keep the future looking bright for the club. A couple of them have put in very good performances this year. I find it funny that you have that little dig at the crows though. Maybe the crows are only doing what Kadina did the past couple of years and are thinking that is the way to win a premiership.

That time of the year.

S.Jordan (Moonta) to win the medal
N. Osbourne (Crows) runner up.

After seeing all the results this week, it shows what a week can do in football
Last week, Bute get beaten by Ardrossan and Wallaroo beat Moonta
This week, Bute beat Wallaroo, and Ardrossan score 3 goals for the day against Pasky.
Will be an interesting finals series for sure. Just have the feeling that there will be a fair bit of spite in the game between Wallaroo and Moonta after some love was not lost between a couple players last week.

Minor round finished. The only suprise is Wallaroo made the finals and Bute missed out.
Three biggest flops of the year.
1. Burgess
2. Pederson
3. Bute football club. Got out the blocks beating kadina.
Three winners of the year.
1. Jordan only winner for moonta this year.
2. Adam Pitts year.
3. Willy Serles 94 goals for the year. After kicking. 1 goal six, twice and 3 goal 9.

I would add to the winners list - Cougars. OK they only won the 3 games but that is more than the previous 2 years. They lost 2-3 games by under 6 points. They got some recruits that will probably stay on and could get a couple extra next season. So at least they are pointing in the right direction.

To the list of flops I would add Ardrossan. They spent a lot more money on players and a coach than they have for many seasons. Won just the one game, lost a lot of supporters, sacked the coach through the season, president resigned and a lot of work to be done to retain recruits for next season. They were heading in the right direction but did a u-turn and went backwards.

Very good call OTC. Agree 100%. CMS Crows could b placed in both the winners and losers column. They will probably win the flag but at a cost of over $90k and the displacement of locals, is it worth it??

Ah willow, i'm sure myself and OTC can live with the fact that we are in your list of flops. But at least it's only a list of flops on a football forum, not a flop in the real football world. In saying that though, being in the list of flops from a man who managed to turn a club on the up with a better list this year than last year, into the laughing stock of the league, all in half a season, will not cause me to lose any sleep. Actually, how well do you sleep after taking money from a decent country club and put them backwards 5 years?? Well done mate.

Ardrossan should have done their research there. Bloke coaches them in Div 7 for a moderate finish then takes on a Country Club with a good $$$$ backing. Bad move
