Yeah we are full strength in all 3 grades this week & expect a hard fought game. Just want this wind to hold off & should be a good day.

Pity the League do what they want and shifted the B's & 18's game to Sunday.
I'd be even more pi$$ed if i was Lions B-grade player, Finish top but have to hit the road for a sunday game!

Yeah I expected our B's to be in Pirie, either way a club/s was always going to be split over Saturday and Sunday, playing Lions vs South B's in Pirie, would have at least given all top teams in the 3 grades the home ground.
Winning isn't everything, it's the only thing.

Would it be right to say the SGFL's programming is less than desirable.

Sunday arvo and guess who is swanning around up here at Port Augusta with the cheque book out? Southern Flinders coach Scott Brand - Matt Woolford is not the only target I hear!
Central's doing it on the bit. Ports without purpose inside their own 50 IMO. :-ss :-q

Central Augusta 11.10 defeated Ports 8.16. Great game, small crowd, big result

I am led to believe Solly Cats won the toss on the weekend and kicked into the breeze only to find themselves 7 goals down at quarter time..Dahhhhhhhhh.

You are correct, another fine coaching move by Davies, once again he coaches an under achieving team.
Sky Pilot, I have always found it funny that SGL people whinge about their players getting poached by Northern areas teams, when the SGL clubs do or attempt to do the same thing to Northern areas clubs every year, remember Woolford came from SF, he would just be going home.

Well done to South Augusta with 3 strong wins over the weekend to take them straight through to Grand Finals in all senior grades. The A and B grade were both big wins too, were there extra players available for finals 7-Dog or did finals experience come to the fore? Very interesting choice to kick into the wind if Sollies did indeed go that way...!

Looks like Matt Ganley has stepped down from Ports too after a disappointing finish to 2012 for the green and whites.

Finished 3rd I believe. Should be a corker this weekend with the formula to sollies being well and truly worked out on the weekend; dry up Macintrye and they can't score.

First game Ive been to for a while and it felt to me like I was watching a different team to last time I was home. We made lot of skill mistakes. Lot of these kids havent played in a A grade final and will be better this week against the gongbeaters. I dont know why we didnt take pressure of them by getting the runs on the board and go with the wind first. Duck has some diffrent ideas though but normally goes ok with them.

I don't think Woolford will return to Southern Flinders for a few years yet.

Sensational news if that is right. Means seven or eight players will be slipping straight across Highway One to Crystal Brook or Southern Flinders ;)

I agree Sky Pilot, I dont think Port will go down that track again. If its true about Matt Ganley my tip would be from Jamie Keane, Adam Magor or Jamie Mac. Or is a former big forward from North Adelaide in the mix.
