Get a life Smileinram. How does that compare o virginia??

Craig young, T would, J sullivan, Poss, Rundle, stick to farming potatoes you spud

What about the longest standing locals that have been there through thick and thin?

Rundle has been there through most. Natt has hung in there. If anything, I hope they go well in September for him alone. Been on the end of a lot of losses. Deserves another crack at the flag.

Rundle has been through some hard times but in his hiatus from the club, the club was at his worst - nether less he will be in the finals squad due to his efforts this year. Natt will also be in due to his form and deserves victory more than anyone in the current A grade squad. However there are others that are in the running that are HBFC through and through that seem to be sandbagged due to the points system.

Would have thought BFC have talent coming out their ears with the current colts list without poaching. And why would anyone want to miss an opportunity with Lubke coming through the ranks. Still, stranger things have happened.... but I can't think of any right now.

I have heard some interesting stories about Hamley of late and this just adds to it.

I feel sorry for blokes like Slok, Eastwood, Martin etc. who should all be A Graders and have stuck by the club in their tough times, but are now running around in the 2's to fit the big names plus the colts in. Will be interesting couple of years for Hamley, cause when the times get tough again they will need these blokes but may have pissed them off too much they won't have anyone left.
To top it off McCabe has come back into the side meaning one of the rare locals that was getting a game has to miss out. Where has Luke been the past 3-5 years when the club has needed him the most?

Maybe a touch unfair on McCabe given he's only been retired from AFL/SANFL for two years. If I was in his position I would love to contribute to winning a flag for my local club. I guess the key issue is around his whereabouts during pre-season and for the majority of the season. If he has done the training and couldn't play because of injury I think its fair enough, that he has returned to the side. However, if he has just turned up out of the blue with 5 games to go and has pushed aside a regular local then I can understand how that may piss some blokes off.

Bit late but Feast a roughly for medal. Proven vote getter only missed the one game this year and not much competition for votes this year in a team that's won more than lost. Looking outside the box that is cause Joel Monts a machine

I'm thinking bruggerman as the roughy gets noticed in a good team and is a real vocal point for his team. Outside that look for King or storic as other dark horse

Just for fun and a bit of convo ive given 6,5,4,3,2,1 votes to the best players posted on sportong pulse for every team this year. Keeping in mind was unable to obtain Mallala's best players from there match on 29th June against Virginia. Irrelevant in terms of umpire votes but a bit of an in sight and a few surprises. Personally surprised how few times Joel Montt was in the best 3. My new selection is Caleb Howell.
