Bwahahahahahaha, if your trying to say that Jolly Scott is in the same class of those two you are clearly mistaken, no offence, Scott is a champion(bloke and player) but definately not on the same list as Semmler, Jericho, Keatley, Goodwin, Hunt, Miller x 2, Wanganeen, Watherston(even if he is old), Blacker. Your right about Carl though, had he not broken his jaw he would have been odds on favourite to collect the medal even more so if you had won more minor round games, which probably would have happened if he was playing.

You would not say Keatley is in the same class as Carl? What is everyone else's thoughts?

Different type of players but I do agree that Semmler is a lot quicker, better kick, better over head and harder at it but no one can deny Keatley as he keeps finding the ball and using it.

Does PL footy really need the Tigers, after last years efforts I'd say no. It's a bye anyway, might as well just call the day off and go fishing!![/quote]

If Gregory was able to hold down full back for Sturt, I've no doubt Jericho could as well.....

I believe Semmler tried out with Port, unsuccessfully. Keatley tried out with North successfully.

I think you are getting confused with SAAFL MP, Stoll, while a fellow rooster, he is handy but not that good, very lucky to even make the Lincoln side. Charman, Sinclair, Kemp, Watherston should be before him in pecking order.

I think you're wrong. He is the best tap ruckman in PLFL.

Goody, Keatley, Blacker, are all stars, but if you take one out, there's still a lot of quality to go around. Over the course of this season, we've probably mentioned 25 "gun" midfield players, yet you can't fit them all in the side.

You pick (generally) two rucks, either changing off the bench, or up forward, or you pick one ruck, and leave it up to a tall forward for the "relief."

Ruck is the most important possie, and Jake Stoll is the best ruckman.

BTW, I'll stick by my start of season pick, Rhys Marsh for the Medal.

You would know who won. I hope you are right

btw Semmelr is a lot better footballer than Keatley. Opposition coaches worry about Semmler no one cares about manning up Keatley.

what about a PLFL T.O.T.Y. I think the team should look like this on what I have seen.

Dunn, Campell, P Dudley
M Miller, North, Semmler
Hunt, H Miller, D Wanganeen
Ky Miller, Jericho, Jackamarra
Betts , Cragg Sappsford, McKinlay

Charman, Keatley, Goodwin

Int. J Christian, Kelsh, Castley , D Scott

Get your hand off it.

If you want to put it down to individual honours, I'm certain Keatley at least matches, if not has greater personal footballing honours than Semmler.

They're two different players. Both are brilliant in their own respect, I can't believe the lack of respect for Keatley on here though. Unbelievable.

who are you and what would you know? I am going on what our coach does and other coaches here. Semmler is always attempted to shut down but Keatley doesnt rate a mention when game plans are talked about. I think he is a good footballer but Keatley is not brilliant as you suggest. I think you may be shagging him

I know Keatley's playing history. I've also played at a higher level with Keatley, and I know he is a star of country football.

I'm not for one second saying that Semmler is an average player, to the contrary, I'm saying they have two different roles, but just the sheer lack of respect shown to Keatley on here by yourself and others is preposterous.

Maybe this is why he will more than likely be playing in a grand final, while you cool your heels for the umpteenth time in how many years at finals time.

I think he will win the Mail Medal there, as he has in other leagues. If he doesn't, fair enough, but I reckon he will give it a real shake, and it would be a shame if he doesn't.
