Just reading on the River Murray thread that a large amount of Karoonda players are moving to teams in this competition.

Chris & Josh Rudiger, Steven Thiele, Todd Boughen, Justin Maloney to Mannum.
Eli Koch to Ramblers and SEVEN players to Tailem Bend.

Is there more to the Karoonda's troubles than what has been made public.

I think the 7 to TB would mainly be B Graders although i'm not certain of that. Will certainly affect the depth of Karoonda though.

I guess a lot of these ex Karoonda players may have put in clearances to other clubs when it looked like they were going to fold, not realising they were going to field 2 teams in the Mallee league this year.

You would have to say they are looking def stronger than last year. have picked up afew gun players in Sayers (big gun) Retalick (big fella) frith (will kick goals) vanders (one tuff cookie and can play) wilson (good defender/tagger) i think they will finally finish in the top 4. have obv lost the 5 back to paralowie but i think they will def do better than last year. (supose cant really do any worse) ladder:

BDT
MUR
LAM
PEAKE

KAROO
PINN

First game will be a big one for peake (peake v karoonda)
peake must win.

have heard from hocko they are traveling well and may have afew norwood players coming down. nothing against any players at karoonda but i thought last year they would of only had a max of about 8 reall A grade players so surly most of them would be playing in the b's in that league. it is a lot stronger than the mallee league.

In the Country Footy lift out in last weekends Sunday Mail, one of the Ins for Karoonda was Abraham Tomich who has had league experience with Norwood.

That is 5 players in and 5 players out. You think that this batch has more potential than the 07 group Fuzzy?
