Probably best not to ask anyone on this forum about his performance, one side love him the other side hate him, so each reply will be totally biased.

Skip - Im not biased, SJ coached me at TTG, I went on to play a lazy 18 league games for Norwood and Centrals, I know that those 2 clubs aren't as big as your beloved Tanunda, but SJ is highly regarded in the junior ranks at both clubs. So obviusly I dont know what I am talking about, but any coach that arrives at a club that is already bottom with 4 import spots not filled and beats all sides above him in the top 4 bar Tanunda, I would say that he has more than done his job at Ango finishing a creditable fifth with kids. To me this is a grudge that you and the LATE Blockie have on this bloke since he has arrived at Ango. SJ has moved on with the LATE Blockie, so why dont you confirm your love for Tanunda that has become intimate since the Ango - Tan stoush and move onto another coach!!!!!!!!!.

That's blowing 'your' own bags if I've ever heard it !!!

Is this fact Brad Man - where have you heard this?

I heard Ribbo was staying at North Clare and that he has been approaching some players in the BLG to go up with him as they are offering some reasonable dollars. It would be good to see him back at the Nuri Tigers, they need him.

Heard a whisper today that the Bombers have approached Greenwood to be a playing coach.

Ribbons is a gun & just what the tigers missed this year, I've also heard the whisper that kapunda are wanting a playing coach which is nuts, I can't see anyone making it work in today's football

JD have to agree with you on all accounts about Ribbo and the playing coach, especially a player that is still young and has not coached before.

Reading the posts on Gawler Centrals footy club makes me wonder if the place doesn't need a real shakeup. It appears the coach is only there until they can find someone better, hardly conducive to forming a confident group of players. I take it the reference to Kingsley is the president, might be time someone put forward a challenge if people believe his methods are outdated or non beneficial to the club.
Seems to me as an outsider, changes need to made in many areas of the club to regain some stability and credibility too.

I think you'll find, and correct me if I'm wrong, Kingsley stepped down on the eve of the season just gone and Jason Smith stepped in as President. Not sure what his background is though...

Perhaps the change is strating now...

Kingsley had already appointed Brant before his decision to step down as was most of the major decisions for last year, and again correct me if my information is incorrect, so the changes are only strating to be seen now...

They did however seem to have an excellant junior program at their club, getting both Colts sides to the GF is testiment to that!

But your right Ace, from the outside looking in a new culture is needed, and perhaps some of the older players may have to make way along with the coach to achieve that????

Apparently on another forum they have announced Carey Payne as coach??

Can anyone shed any light on who this bloke is and what ability he is going to have when it comes to turning around the redlegs fortunes??

Carey Payne coached Eastern Park SAAFL Div 3 to the Prelim final, they were minor premiers but fell over when it counted. Had a few injuries which didn't help their cause. Has been at EP for a while as a player and a fair player too, getting on a bit now to play A grade but is handy in the B's.
Has pulled EP up the ladder and is held in pretty high regard out there. Might bring a couple with him.
