Russell is one of the best country footballers I have seen but that was a long time ago. He has been in a good paddock and in my opinion will struggle to be a factor in a quality competition. He was only a solid contributor for Jervios two years ago.

Tim Martin is a gun and would slide nicely into any Div 1 A grade side.

On another note i see Dave Benson has signed Sam Ezard (from West Adelaide reserves), not much of a signing but will work out great for them if he brings James Ezard along with him

Wow well done Raiders, they certainly look the early season improvers with the amount of clearances as well they may also have real depth-Connor Healey 0 points?Bevelander 0 points?Nathan White good young player 0 points?Who else to come?
Pretty big tick at this stage I would think for them!

Ladhams will take ironbank down the gurgler..... He may be able to get a kick but the turmoil that he caused at jervois was shocking. Worst thing ironbank did was appoint him which pushed away the boys like wendles, Williams etc.... Will only go backwards especially with the recruiting of Ryan Mcgahey who would be mid 30s and just sending Ironbank into debt.

Haha, did you wake up on the wrong side of bed chop chop. Wendels, Williams left for massive amounts of cash on offer by bottom side Myponga in the GSFL. Ironbank couldn't get close to matching it and McGahey is playing for far less than he was getting at Birdwood. Seems like you know a lot about nothing sweet cheeks ;)

Have also heard this from a good source. They've decided not to travel to Victoria every week and will front for Loby from what I've heard...

I bumped into James at the servo a couple of weeks ago. He has done his back pretty bad with work and wont be playing any regular local footy. Said he and Chris will head back to Anglesea to play a couple of games here and there as they lost a few players. Chris is going overseas half way through the year for his honeymoon as well so that will limit his availability.

Nah Chopper i reckon the $1800 a week between them at Myponga had nothing to do with them leaving

Ironbank have made healthy cuts to its budget for players this year. We can only judge on what we have seen with our own eyes, and that has been a bloke come in and have a massive involvement off the field as well as sharing his abundance of football knowledge with the playing group on the park. It is a little bit hard to believe what certain players say, when they leave citing "success" for Myponga (cellar dwellers) when they are receiving the outlandish amount of money they are.

Regardless of the outs, IB now have a head coach from outside the club for the first time in what 7 years?

Great opportunity for every player to step up.

Good effort trying to do the maths Champ! But if you have three guys getting $1800 a week between them! then none of them need to be getting $900 a week! For instance it could be broken down as $500 $600 and $700... ill let you work out which player is pocketing what...

I'm guessing Craig Evans is not playing for the raiders as previously reported just signed for the redlegs !
