All rumours at this stage. Nothing has been discussed at club level by EEFL clubs. Has only been the league executives having informal chats.

SANFL would have to sanction it before it went ahead also.

SANFL may not agree tp the north/south extremeties of the league being over 200 km apart. I have also heard that the new league would not include all of the current 11 clubs involved in both leagues, meaning mergers or disbandments would have to occur first.

EE have approached GF with the the proposal for an 11 team comp (ie no club mergers). I know of 3 GF clubs that have voted against the idea at club level so I can't see it going too much further in the next year or so anyway.

Mallee Park 40+
Tasmans 1-39
Wayback 1-39

Really feel like the eagles will win this one but head says go Waybacks, Tasmans on the other hand, well I don't know what I'm thinking. Need to catch barksoff.

Will be ideal to have the scoreboard posted again so everyone can see where they are at overall.

with the merger between GF and EE the reason EE wanna merge is because 3 teams up there are struggling for numbers. cleve, ports and rudall so how is all 5 of their teams joining our league going to solve those clubs problems with numbers?
the best thing would be for cleve, rudall and ports to merge and that way a few other players would also go to cowell and kimba and also eyre united and that way it would be a 9 team comp and u play each other twice

One of the biggest mistakes Rudall made was not merging with Darke Peak in 1996.
