they had no choice. needed to replace those who have left.

agree. was a cheap shot. im sure there are hard working parents involved in the bankers junior program.

should have said pity they didn't use some of their resources on the away change rooms. compare with what onkas did in improving their away facilities.

clubs have priorities, and for the bankers it's clearly purchasing players.

Who are these recruits Gervais? I heard they lost 3 to the swamp people at Myponga. And a couple have gone back to their home clubs in the SFL.

Can't argue with you regarding some of the facilities, though can just say give the new regime 12 months and I think you will be happy. Priorities have changed with plans & work already underway for those and other areas.
Lets remember it was only just last year Onkas upgraded their rooms, with many yet to do so, so don't pretend IB is WAY behind the curve here.
Also IB is working on a much much smaller budget than most of the other clubs, always a tough balancing act to stay competive in Div 1 and improve the club, and again the scales have been tipped this year.

IB didn't start the paying of players, we're just trying to keep up.

Still had a much bigger budget than say lofty which DIDN'T have a budget at all... Williams, yoemans , byerlee, wendlbourn, sugg, Munn and Schneider were all on the pay roll still didn't get them very far! Good luck giving all your money on ladhams no wonder there has been a mass exodus at the club...

Interesting there's only 5 clubs with clearances pending or approved at the moment.

Ins for Blackwood
Max Cheek - Tailem Bend
Sam Cheek - Tailem Bend
Michael Minuzzo - West Adelaide

Is this Minuzzo kid an ex Blackwood junior??

Ins for Onkas

Michael Leonard - South Adelaide
Angus Conroy - Border Districts

Ins for Lobethal

Trevor Baust - Gaza
Lee Mason - Cooma (Canberra Div 4)

Ins Torrens Valley

Simon Prior - looks like returned from I/State

Ins Bridgey

Nathan White - Scotch OC (B Grade)
Taylor Wiese - SFL (B Grade)

I'm sure there's more to come.

Of the ones you've mentioned only 3 have left and 1 of those has all but retired. Furthermore I think you'll find not all were paid but its nice to sit back behind the computer and speculate whether it be rubbish or not hey dukes.

I think what is happening at ironbank is good. Time for a change and to give the kids a go. Give the coach a go also and wait and see. The new recruits are actually better than what left so time will tell. The juniors are in good nick now and the facilities are being improved. We do pretty well compared to the big town teams like barker, hahndorf etc

Ok I know that some of those lads have left and byerlee has retired but who did I mention who wasn't getting paid ? Some clubs just don't get it why not save some money you would spend on recruits and put it back into the club !! Ironbank have the worst away change room in the hfl !! They have not been able to push from mid tier of central div for quiet some time so obviously a change is needed good luck bankers !!

Ladhams had a go at Jervois and that was a disaster. Shortly Ironbank will find out why.

He still played some great football for Jervios but the general concencus was that his coaching let him down. Tended to get very abusive when things were not going right. Players do need a rev up at times but he tended to go way over the top.

I heard he was getting paid, clubs are like sivs confidential information such as player payments don't take long to travel through football circles. And my point is he is an example of a player who shouldn't be getting paid !
