C'mon lads credit where credits due. JB is an Icon of the HFL and is returning to the club where he was born and bread. The club has made a bold move in an attempt to better themselves and their former captain is returning home to lend a helping hand. Good stuff Jack

Darren Mitchell to Bridgewater? Do you now who he is, apart from the brother of Chris Mitchell? Hope Valley seem to have the better deal there?

Seeing Darren in a 6'4 key fwd and Chris being a defender and nearing the end of his footy I would say Bridgey got the better deal there especially on their small ground. Big quality fwds dnt grow on trees and a 6'4 90kg+ fwd will be hard to stop if the ball is delivered properly to him that is IF it's delivered properly. Sour grapes Shirtfront that he has left or the other half dozen or more that have left

I wouldn't say his form is as good as you talk it to be. Did not feature in our best players much last year, did not win the goal kicking as our key forward and was barely at training. 6'3 and 100k+g is more the size too, couldn't get to training at Broadview, not sure how he will go getting up to Bridgewater. Not sour grapes either because the way he left he won't be welcome back, unlike Chris who was upfront with the club regarding his movement away. Good luck to him and Bridgewater if works.

Shirtfront do u not recall the operation Darren had on his knee during preseason that restricted his training output and also why would you want to train when the coach had no game plan and no idea. Pretty sure Darren was completely upfront with broadies the whole time maybe losing the Head trainer aswell and one of your better players R/U best and fairest 2011 has touched a nerve. Don't see you bagging Vanders, Jarman, Williams, Hornhardt to name a few that have left. Could be a long year at Broadies this year. Hasn't missed a training at Bridgey and is loving the change in club. Blokes up at Bridgey have embraced his signing and see him as a real asset and a great focal point up fwd. Pity Broadview didn't feel that way last year.

Yep been told Luitjes has a journalism job at Mildura?

was a shame, one of his uni classmates is at our club and we were talking to him via that link. Seemed like he'd have been a good guy to have around the place from what I've told.

he will be a handy player for them with lots of experience, maybe play as a small roving forward player.
