Good point bernie. only 1 problem though:

Everyone at the Devils = top blokes. Everyone at Ironbank = shit blokes.

You do the maths, I'll have a beer while you figure it out.

Ironbank will never be any good because they are smokers.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

The Bankers are only a bit grizzly cos they have to train on that tiny oval and change in that tin shed! I'm sure if you got to know them a bit better then you could be nice and friendly and have a cuddle with them Advocate!!!

And stop kidding yourself, I know that the only beer you drink is out of a white wine spritzer glass!

Bloody miracle kept buying beers in spritzer glasses when it was his shout.

Fortunately he was too soft to keep drinking with us on Sunday and Mad Monday.

Apparently the bubbles from his spritzers hurt his nose!

whatever princess!

Have heard that a big name former North Adelaide player looks likely to be coaching Callington next year. No doubt that the club will be hoping that his name is able to lure a few recruits.

DR - Coad kicked a few goals. Was big and slow when I saw him, but good when it was in his vicinity.
BAZZ - the team of the year is pretty spot on. Who else would YOU have in there? And don't chuck in tokens. Demons and Devs were a class above the rest, reflected by that eventual team. And that the Prez said (in the Sunday Mail) that the Uris Lofty game at Uraidla was the best he'd seen outside of Adelaide.

Coad = Big leg, but very slow and not very dangerous.

Like you said Justquietly, Hills Footy is one of the best country leagues at the mo and will keep on going strong in the next few seasons.

The Advocate would need more than a few ribs removed before he could blow his own trumpet thats for sure! They don't call him Mr Jellybean for nothing....

Well played with a straight bat DA!

Yeah, at least your not from a couple of other clubs I could mention. Their families are so 'close' that their limited gene pool mutation has provided them with two jellybeans! Bloody inbreds!

Devils Advocate. I bet you would NOT know 80% of the Ironbank A grade and also alot of the B grade. So how can you comment on us without knowing us. Sure in the "olden days" ( probably when u played... when ya got a game) there were some rivalries and hatred but amongst the newer breed theres a real respect that comes from the junior days. In fact a number of Mt Lofty boys did come and have a beer with us after this years game. Maybe you could show a little of that same respect from time to time instead of shooting ya mouth off.
Of course we would both say that everyone at our clubs are good blokes cos were biased as all hell but then again maybe thats just it. Maybe both clubs have good blokes. Wow!

As for Shane Russel I think you will find its either Reynella or Retirement. No chance of Ironbank sadly. Certain business initiatives will take up alot of time.

And no more advertising .. Daniel Exelby has been reappointed. Like some said earlier alot of quality youth to back. Couple recruits to help teach the youngsters goes along way as the Mt Lofty would attest too.

Winger have you ever been to see Ironbank play?

Every time we play Ironbank, your supporters are an absolute disgrace.

The most recent case in point was the U17's prelim where numerous senior players and parents stood on the sidelines shouting abuse and obscenities at Devils players as well as calling for fights, and for Ironbank players to deliberately attempt to injur Devils players. This was one of the worst displays of the ugly side of football I've EVER seen!!! (and that's rich coming from me cos I love to get vocal at the footy)

Then there's the Graffiti issue.

I know enough people from Ironbank to know that I don't want to have anything to do with Ironbank, hence my comments.

Seriously Winger, you must be an osterich - get your head out of the sand!

On the respect issue - respect is a mutual attitude. If it is shown, it will be returned. There's no respect for opposition at Ironbank.

And for the record "probably when u played" - I played in the GF 3 weeks ago and got a premiership mediallion around my neck!!!

when was the last time you got a game winger, and more importantly, a premiership medallion??

Some of the IB footballers are good blokes but the tools outnumber them by alot. the supporter that DA speaks of was a disgrace. ive heard alot of shit come out of DA's mouth on game day aswell, but nothing compared to this, especially considering this was an U17's game.

Thunderers, ha.
thunder is loud but cant be seen.

Devil's Avocado, ugly football fans/parents/supporters can been seen in ALL football clubs and I can tell you I have recieved similar sprays from the tools on the hill when playing at Goat Park at both a senior AND junior level.

Lets not forget the main reason for Ironbank's existance is the fact that some people got sick of the amount of halfwits running around with red and white jumpers on at the time so they left Mt Lofty to form their own club. This may have happened 20 years ago but for some people there is still a major dislike for everything Mt Lofty.

Yes is it unfortunate that when Ironbank and Mt Lofty meet it can bring out the ugly side in BOTH clubs but I think what Winger is trying to say is that the younger brigade don't have that history there to fuel all of this garbage and most are just wanting to get on with playing footy.

Both football clubs have changed alot since the old days and the animosity between the two clubs off the field really isn't nessesary and should be left for the players to sort out game day.

So lets move on from the verbal club bashing or it is just not going to get any better from both sides and get on with playing footy.
