Wonder if one David Earl is aware that the boys at Blackwood are looking to move elswhere now he is appt coach. He must be laughing at what the chook is going to be paying him. Crazier than his player payments. Have it straight from a major sponsors mouth they are keen to move a little bit up the hill next year as sick of seeing his hard earned wasted by a big noting prez.

Reckon Barker will bounce back this week and set up a slaughter the following week.

By the way good luck to Jeff Pistola who I hear has been in hospital with a nasty illness. Hopefully back on track and all will be well. :D :D :D

Yes, I hope all goes well, pistols.

I think Barker will easily account for Hahndorf this week.

Mt Barkers Kids will be edgy early with the fear of yet another straight sets finals series an with Handorf finals experience they will get the jump. If Handorf can be within a couple of goals at 3/4 time they are in with a chance as the pressure will keep building on the Roos. Key is to stop Mt Barkers run from the back half or to stop Handorf stop their left footed mids getting easy footy, team that can do that will win. Barker will win by 3 goal but Handorf win and another choke from Mt Barker wouldn't suprise many. Mt Barker will then go on to win next week as well.

The Hills Football League Inc.
in conjunction with SAPOL and Weslo security will be searching vehicles for alcohol on both Grand Final days. Taking alcohol into the ground is a breach of the clubs liquor licence and will not be tolerated.

Underage drinking is also a major concern and will be policed.

Please make sure your spectators and members are aware of this.

I wonder what authority they are going to use to search vehicles?? If they are going to search a car one would think they would need reasonable cause to suspect the vehicle had alcohol. I reckon if you told them to get lost there would not be much they could do about it. SAPOL beating their own drum again.

I thought it was a good contest in the fist quarter and the Pies kicked a couple of very nice goals that would have lifted their boys. From then on it was a lot different. The Roos were much more direct and took strong marks but the Pies constantly played wide when going forward and struggled to take marks in attack. The Pies looked knackered at 3/4 time.

Can I also ask our Roo supporters to either shut their mouths or get lost during the breaks when Hooter is trying to talk to the boys. He's trying to talk and I'm trying to listen but you lot were just going "wa wa wa wa wa" like old grandmothers. It didn't matter when Alby was coaching because his screaming drowned anybody out, but Hooter talks a lot quieter to the troops. Thank you.

Does the HFL feel the slightest bit guilty that Onkas B grade have made the GF. This side would not have got this far without the assistance of some dodgey permits. It's Blackwood v Onkas/HFL next Saturday. I hope the Woods smash em.

ATS I am interested to know what you think would be appropriate to qualify for finals? Clearly you think playing the last 8 minor rounds in the B grade should not qualify you for finals so what should?
Are you aware that we have a young star that played 2 B grade minor round games yet still played B grade against Onkas in the Semi Final and also played A grade yesterday against Hahndorf? I'm very keen to know your thoughts here and also what will be the rule for the Southern Hills league next year? Hope you have a wonderful season 2013 wherever you end up

So how or where does humility start SC? or is it shelved during an unbelievable 3/4 time diatribe in the 2nd semi by one or a few of your supporters (parent of a couple of players) towards the Roos supporters around the teams huddle - .. give me a break please mate and let us all enjoy a week of build up towards a great GF this saturday

and yes I agree that ppl like Vics01 needs a reality check and actually does the right thing so that the younger generation starts to understand what proper social behaviour is required

GO YOU ROOS!!

If I do drink I buy it from the bar. I was making the point that the coppers can bang on about it but can do sweet FA about it. Waving a big stick at community clubs rather than tackling the real issues stops nothing.

Blackwood to SFL in 2014?

Knew what you were saying but I know just as an example that when you park your car at Noarlunga in the ground, they do check the boot and interior of the car so given that it's the same security company I'm not surprised this will be/is happening.

Where is the HFL GF being played next weekend?

If there was a by-law that stated "if you play the last so many games in the Bs you are qualified to play finals" then that would be accepted. But guess what? There isn't, go to the website and have a look yourself. Other leagues have the rule... yes, but you can't go giving permits out because the GSFL or SFL have the rule and we probably should. Onkas are in a GF by default and from what I'm told every club they've played has made a complaint. I was also told the Board members making the decisions on the permits are Onkas people, slightly inappropriate don't you think? The thing you bring up about your "young star" is fine, read the rules... as long as he has played the required amount of games for the club he can play in the higher grades.
