Sorce before you get on your high horse mate, over the past four weeks only two locals even made your best players... Not to mention all your goals are kicked by your imports too...

Not sure that a premiership with almost no local impact is better than winning one with a few less locals who actually impact the season's results...

BANTER! :D
The more locals the better but IMHO, some imports are usually needed.
With some of the losses I went through at the Devs, I welcomed the 3 flags & the effort that some of those imports put in eg coaching juniors, fundraising etc. If you can get that out of them (and of course money from :drinkers: after a game) then you've done alright.
Back to the JMac point raised - I would have thought he'd be a cert for the Raiders if he left Sturt. He was in the team pic in the Advertiser...
he'd be bloody welcome at the Devs though ;)

More chance of Flash Gordon playing at the Devs this year than McDonald ;)

It seems that even the SAFC's Reserves side have needed Cobb's assistance.... Played on friday night.
If only more people like Kym Cobb wanted to play footy for the right reasons and help out their clubs where ever and how ever necessary......

I didn't know there was a Kym Cobb fan club, can I "like it" on facebook? How well are South's reserves going? Surely some young lad would've been available, I guess things haven't changed at South then. Maybe we'll see Mark Naley pull on the boots soon.

Have you seen the results of the South u/18's? Would rather have Kym Cobb out there than some kid who will probably spit the dummy when told a few home truths about their game.

From my understanding South have been hit with a fair few injuries and this means a lot of young players (under 18's) playing in the 2's. Not sure if your aware Rock, but the under 16's comp is finished, therefore not much left around to help out. I would think given Cobb is the coach of the under 18's that he would love nothing more than seeing one of his players continue to develop and play in a higher grade, but unfortunately one would guess this wasn't an option. So your comment about 'Things haven't changed at South' i guess you mean their high injury list????

I have it on decent authority that two country division teams will be applying for promotion at seasons end. Obviously your league will have to select which one IF any are promoted.

With this in mind (nothing to do with 3 tiers) and following on from another posting of the by-laws which of the central division clubs could be in the 'firing' line for relegation?

Orrrrrrrrr would consideration be given to an 11 team comp?

If this is true then I assume the clubs would be Echunga and Birdwood?

I believe that the constitution states that Central Div will only be 10 teams, so the team that finishes bottom on the club shield will be going down, at this stage that is Mt Lofty with Bridgewater and Torrens Valley I believe above them.

Could make for an interesting end to the season!

Of interest may be the interview with Tommy Hafey conducted this week during his visit to Echunga.
Can be heard in the Huddle on www.spreaker.com/user/huddle

Pistols and Goldy building up quite a good show with their weekly Hills sports and footy podcast ... worth a listen ;) ;)

Corerct on the two clubs however I'm aware that Birdwood were peeved off at how hard it was to get an answer last time - Im not aware of it but appreantly alot of backing and forthing.

Maybe wishful thinking but Nairne also chasing a promotion.

Nairne seems like a sensible choice for 'central' division. Developing town close to MT Barker. Their modies numbers are very good also. Torrens valley should go IMO as their club (mainly juniors) is struggling in div 1.

Yeah Nairne seam like a real sensible choice there A grade get beaten by 20 goals to the top sides in div 2 and there u/17 are sitting bottom.

Wasn't the outcome of a HFL meeting on Thursday ruling out any club relegation this year?

Have heard more than a whisper that he was talking to the Lofty coach - who said he would have to earn his spot thru the B grade.
Also, after that conversation, he has signed (for 200 times more than he could earn at Lofty) at Tailem Bend.
We want Vaughn.
