KWF - some very valid points re Roo's commitment to Bedford and the kids, that's tops stuff.
My comment was based on the commonly (and pretty jokingly) fact that Roos doesn't often get out of bed for less than a few grand.
Great to see that he's giving back though.
Have to go with other posters on the 'no-one missing out' side of things though...Wouldn't the club be better served having him speak at your big night? Or would that cost...

Where to for Tasmans if they can't beat Souths with one of the games greatest players in their side. How will they be mentally? Good on Tasmans for getting him on board, I would be excited to see him at my club, but gee if they go down it's going to be very embarassing I reckon.

Just, he is going to the Dinner and has offered his time to speak briefly if we want him to,
so hopefully he will (at no cost).
I have to admit I was surprised at training no fan fair just met the boys and went through
the training as instructed by the coaches honestly could have been Joe Average,
except when he took a one handed overhead mark at full pace :D

Ball in one hand, money in the other.....
Hey, good luck to TFC for playing him. I am sure all other clubs would have given it a great deal of thought if opportunity arose.
Can I ask tho, what permit / ruling has been used to allow this. The guy is clearly not a resident, so it must have been a manipulation of the employment rule. Last I looked at the constitution there was no mention of a marquee player rule?

Media Park says:

Mallee Park 1-39, Tasman 1-39, Marble Range 40+

Notable mention to Tasman's new forward line player, Mark Riccutio, who comes over for one game after playing 300 games for an Adelaide based club.

Mate, I think that Souths are a better side, but with so many returning from injury, I don't think they'll be in full flight...

Also, Roo is a fairly big in... ;)

All this talk about what ROO getting paid. Is he getting paid or are we just going by what our clubs would do.
Barksoff the eagles could crack open a couple of their pocker machines and give him some pensioners gold coins.
Bluestheboy waybacks could just hand him a handbag full of cash. Bostons could give him an ounce. Marble Range could find a couple of spare sheep. Malle Park ???????
