Yes I can confirm.

On behalf of the VHFC:

The Victor Harbor Football Club is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael (Sauce) Saunders to the position of A Grade Coach for 2013.

During his previous stint as VHFC Coach, the club saw a vast improvement in on-field performances and both Sauce and the Club are looking forward to the continued development of the great group of young players that has risen from our successful junior program in recent years.

Well done to Mitch a very worthy winner has been a great loyal servant to Willunga and the GSFL. I notice with interest that Lewis from Yank polled a best and 2nd best in the last 2 games of the season...... Has had any influence on the field this year die to injuries I'm told? But could be important lift for Yank if he is fit for finals? Didn't play either games against the creeks this year by the results and kick 5 against willunga in first game didn't play the second game... Can anyone from Yank or mcclarens or bays say if he's fit again??

Dunno South - but they've made a bit of a mess entering the team in the last few weeks:

Don't imagine the mini colt (his son?) played A grade!

Tips:

Bays to get over McLaren fairly easily despite the game being at McLaren.

Yank v Creeks at Compass is tough to call. Based on what I saw this year Creek are the best side in the comp when on-song, but Yank have beaten them both times (2 and 7 points) and the Compass ground favours Yank IMO. Yank by 10 points.

Well done to the mail medal winners. All well deserved and take nothing away from them but I still don't like some of the voting descrepencies you see from the umpires votes. I got a vote which was a bit of a laugh but it could and should have been a vote that had gone to the the likes of Davis-Neale. May have made the difference especially when he also deserved a couple in the return match (the winners may have had similar circumstances). Would love to see a 'players' or a 'coaches' award handed out.

Also is $8 too steep for finals entry? There's a lot of people out there struggling. If your club plays Saturday / Sunday it's $16. Needs to be cheaper or they need to introduce a finals multi pass. Say $30 which allows entry to all finals. I reckon a system like that would see bigger attendances and the return $ wise may even improve. A Goolwa supporter this week as an example may for go the senior colts who have a double chance and just go to the elimination final.
You can love football, but it wont always love you back!

$8 too much? Maybe...but its not much more than the normal price. Is the GF more? - I can't remember. The multi-pass idea might be worth a try I guess.

Despite it's faults, the umpire voted medal still has plenty of prestige. Another voted by peers or coaches would be good though. Didn't there used to be something like that once where the opposition coaches voted?

mmmm Looks like YANK are at it again.. How many points should LEWIS be now.. I am guessing the kid is a zero pointer... Wsnt it his points that got them into trouble last time.. Someone should ring the GSFL head honchos I reccon...

BAYSRULE.. Ryan Lewis (snr ) is and always has been a zero pointer for Yank. Ryan Lewis ( jnr ) is no relation , just a strange coincidence.
The points situ as you point out is/was not related to Ryan Lewis ( snr ) or ( jnr).

Good luck on Sunday, I think you guys will get up by about 5 - 6 goals.

GSFL Movements

Postby field of dreams » Sat Sep 01, 2012 7:56 pm

Creeks too clean, too skilled, too good for Yank today. With about 10 mins to go, yank had a relatively easy set shot to close the gap to 5 points, the miss resulted in a goal down the other end directly and from then on it was all Creek - going on to win by 7.

Wish he'd have another crack at the Bays. Never got a decent chance in the 1s IMO

That result confirms my thoughts . Whoever beats the Creeks in the GF ( if they are good enough ) will go top.

I said Creeks would win and I said they have too much firepower to stop them all. The lads played very well and deserved the win. Were hard at it all day. Yankalilla were very good as well just missed some crucial shots on goal that may have made a difference.

Bays all over them at half time. Welsh was the key. Without him it would have been a 0-0 draw

Is number 44 for yank in the b's the full quid? Magpies got up by a few goals. I'd say number 44 will be at normy beach tomorrow bench pressing small trucks.

Senior colts standard is bloody good. Best game of the day

I feel for the jc's the umps were yuck. Strath won on the buzzer but what do you tell young footballers?
