Bankers by 15 goal over Lobey. Great effort by the boys. Played some amazing footy from what I saw today. Something they have lacked these past 2 games. Would like to see the boys go on with it now

It certainly will be an interesting game. From memory the past few years there has only a couple of goals separating the 2 sides.

Blackwood look to have come back to the pack a bit this season as shown by a 20 point home loss to Torrens Valley yesterday.

so dissapointed in the effort by onkas yesterday. have to hand it to uraidla, they just keep at it and eventually wear teams down.

im afraid that the pre-season talk about onkas being premiership favourites was a bit off the mark.

Uraidla by about 10 goals. When the tough got going, Onkas didn't

I hear that last years hills leading goal kicker Luke Ellis is out for the season with an achillies injury.

Is is possible that they may have even fallen behind the pack? They just scraped over the line against Mt Lofty in round 1 and have lost the last couple... the weekends result against TV must have been very dissapointing.

Can anyone give me a greater insight as to how Ironbank belted Loby and same with Uris vs the dogs, just didnt see either of these games being blowouts. Injuries or other factors play any part??

Have Loby lost any players this year? Thought they were sharp last year, but their results have been pretty ordinary so far this year.
Onkas were pumped up in a big way on this forum in the pre-season, did they pick up any star recruits or are they a bit overrated?

I think that comes from how they finished last year. They beat Uraidla and belted Mt Barker at the end of last year i think people expected them to start that way. If you see how they started last year Vs how they finished i wouldn't write them off untill later in the year.
They got Nicholls, Contin and Kerber back and recruited Guitink and Edwards. They have lost Shaun Smith, Heiser and Contin for most of the year through injury and their midfield all appear to be playing at 50%. Add to that Kirwan and Friend wont play this year, they're basiclly a different side!

Tigers don't have the depth of last year. there were some Retirements from the A Grade prior to the season starting which hasn't helped. Injuries hurt them game 1 and then compounded further in game 2 which is why we saw the results we did against ironbank. Jocob Weeks did come up from the colts last week to do some nice things in the A's but they need everyone to improve significantly to share the workload until some of these players return.

Fair point, Trooper. It's also the point that I made pre-season. I reckon it'll be depth come the second half of the season that will determine who makes the 5 & how bad some lower teams get flogged. I think what we'll see is Lofty, lobey, bridgey & TV being competitive (at least) but might struggle when copping an injury or 2. You can get a gauge of how that'd pan out by seeing the scores from B grade games.

Handy pick ups but some big outs there. Kirwan is a big loss, why aren't he and Friend playing?

Kirwan at Norwood. Friend will be unavailable for 2 to 4 depending on good behavior.
