What is everyones view/opinion on the apparent introduction next year of compulsory random illicit drug testing as tabled at the Delegates meeting Monday night??? Apprently it will be in line with the AFL and SANFL guidelines with very rigid penalties. one penalty suggested by the CFB is 1 strike and you get life...

Surely the delegates wont vote this administration nightmare into the GSFL??? Do they even get to vote on it?????
Anyone have anymore info on this?? would make for interesting conversation over the weekend i woulda thought....

Would be extremly hard to govern. Who would cover the costs because as I don't think it's a cheap exercise.
1 strike would be pretty harsh for non-pro players.

I haven't seen it raised at SAAFL yet, and I really cant see how we could possibly police it.
I'm certainly not going to stand there and have a suburban player missing the jar and pi$$ing all over my hand, feet and head!!!

Most ridiculous idea ever. Why the hell should country footballers submit themselves to urine testing. I would tell them to piss off.

Question i have. Is it a good thing or a bad thing that it's gone to the media. Puts the GSFL in a bad light but highlighting alleged king hits in football could be a good thing to clean up possible acts?

It is in a bad light at present! Adjourning the hearing for a reason not disclosed to the victim is shocking. I don't know Billy but I'd assume he exhausted all options in-house and wasn't happy with the way it was proceeding, so he took it further to throw some egg on the face of the powers that be.

Loots Crockford and Mcevoy from Mclaren none will have played enough games to go close.... On the other issues there may be an accumulative suspension system coming in get suspended for a total of 16 maybe even as low as 12 and you are banned from the league for life... This is suspension at the tribunal not yellow cards i believe. Also the drugs policy is inline with assda or something 1 strike automatic 2 year ban testing to be random but on advice from the police on who to test what was I was told, I don't get what the police has to do with it but that's what I was told
who ever thought of the saying winning isn't everything, probably lost!!

AFL rule is 15 games and you cant play in a League in Australia that subscribes to their rule.
There are some leagues that dont - good luck to them - they can have them
SAAFL is 12 games
