Jed is going very well, playing some real good footy. speaking of unseen people though, his older brother bodie has been MIA after playing a few games early in the season. can you shed any light on his whereabouts WIW24?

Bodie MIA??? Very disappointing! I looked forward to seeing the Wilson boys line up side by side in the guts this weekend!

R 14 tips

Match of the round E.Bay v Willunga.
A lot at stake for both teams.
Willunga need to win to hold top spot whilst Bays are desparate to hold 3rd from the Creeks.
Tip - Willunga to win another close one - 9 points.

Goolwa/P.E. v Yank. Yank to win comfortably after some early resistence. Yank by 46.

McLaren v Victor. expect McLaren to be too good here - 22 pts

Myp/Sellicks v Strath. Strath have found some form of late winning 4 of their last 5 games and despite the game being at Myponga, Strath get the nod JUST. 10 pts.

Mt Compass host the Creeks who have struggled to get a settled line up all season and tomorrow is no exception with anther 1/2 dozen forced changes to their line up rumour has it.
Real danger game this one for the Hawks who cant afford any more slip ups.
Tip - Creeks to get the job done by 28 points but wouldn't be surprised if it's a lot closer.

Looks like the rain late on the week didn't hinder scoring as much as expected. Got you this week JJ.

Best game Victor have played for a long time. Given the games ahead McLaren will probably still play finals but hard to see them making any impact on what they brought today. But they have the wins on the board. Willunga should have sown up top spot with their solid win over bays as creeks move into 3rd on percentage.

Well done FOD, too good, 5 from 5.
McLaren being safe in 5th place, may have lacked a bit of motivation maybe against Victor. Not a major shock they lost but the margin, 49 pts certainly was. :o

Creeks now firm favourites to finish 3rd with the hugely important double chance after the Bays went down to Willunga after matching it with them for 3 qtrs.

With the Creeks having a superior % over the Bays, the Hawks can basically wrap up 3rd next week, playing host to Yank and will be very keen to avenge their 1st round loss to them when they coughed up a 3 - 4 goal lead at 3/4 time to go under by 3 points.
Bays only hope of snatching back 3rd from the Creeks is to win ALL their remaining games with Yank being their stumbling block with that plan and relying on the Hawks going down to Yank this week.
JJs suggested premiership odds

Willunga $2.25
Yankalilla $2.70
Creeks $3.65
Bays $13.00
McLaren $151

You'll get some coin coming in for the creeks at those odds JJ :o
Would have thought they'd be a fair bit shorter than that.

Luxury odds about Creeks IF they are guarenteed to have their FULL side available but they have their share of injury concerns atm as most teams do and are still no certainties to finish 3rd. Will and Yank have earned favourtism at the top of the markets.
Looks to be the most open and exciting finals series for many years with 3 genuine contenders with E.Bay a chance as well if any of the top 3 stumble.

Really well - played about the first 7 in the B's and in the A's since then. We are probably asking more of him than he would have expected but he keeps on stepping up - even named first best ( admittedly of a very poor field) against Bays. Always great when a 'young' bloke walks in looking for a kick. Amazing - Some of the lads he is playing with were born the same year Burbs last played footy!

Bays game was alot closer than the 29 point margin, bays hit the lead by a point in the last quarter but failed to capalize from there. It became a bit of the shoot out and willunga were able to take advantage. Niggling injuries saw bays with no bench and therefore midfield had to run the qaurter out without any rotations. Bays would attack fast but Willunga were so good on the rebound very quick up the ground and silky skills made it hard for bays to get back on there men fast enough. Probably a positive for the bays even without the win knowing they can match it with what is a fav for the second last weekend of sept.

Another huge round coming up which will define the make up of the final five. If Langhorne Creek can knock over Yank they will just about sew up a double chance but if they get beat that will leave the door open for Encounter Bay to snatch third spot. You'd think that McLaren are assured of 5th spot - they'd have to drop 2 games and either Strath or Victor would have to win all of their last 4 which seems almost impossible. Stranger things have happened though!

In the B's McLaren's depth has been tested with a few injuries seeing them drop off the pace. They're still in third spot but Goolwa-Port Elliot are breathing down their neck just half a game behind. McLaren have got a much easier run home though.
