Just Quietly that is my standard pre-game preparation, but since my season is over I have been working on my cricket and golf games. For cricket I make my midget be the stumps and bowl at him. And for golf I make my gimp stand out in a field and hit golf balls at him. Ahhhh....the life of a Hills aristocrat!

Bernie ... I'm a solid coleslaw dressing man myself ... goes with the cabbage. Interesting to hear about Racer, seemed to be walking ok at preliminary final for the colts. Relapse ... or a case of Devils and Drakes. Ron B .. interesting comments, about Raiders getting back to Div 2 and win some games ... who against? Can really see you guys worrying Kangas, Meadows and the Lions, Kersbrook just ran into a good side, but were good enough to get there, and Birdwood, well you don't have to worry about them, they be up in top tier. Leaves Maccy, Gums, Cally as possible wins ... but I'm not sure. Anyway, bring on tomorrow, must say all the best to all sides, and hopefully the weather stays good for the big day. Back to back for Uraidla is in the wind, but we don't want to get blown away ... not by the Devils, but the breeze! Catch ya there, Devil boys. Whatever, hopefully we can have a beer together?

yeah unfortunately a man of that speed cant go through a game walking. just the pressure of hard running got the better of him. good call on bridgy GD, im not too sure that they could go down to country and win many games. even I.B you could see go down and prob make the finals but theyve the likes of X, morry, and tarque who would be simply too good for div 2 sides. whats the latest on birdwood coming up? apparrently it was definate, but now ive heard a few whispers that theyre not coming up. if they dont does someone else come up??

yeah ill have a beer with ya GD, youre playing in the twos arent ya??

The beers will be on GD, you may have to put up with some dead set stupidity though.

Good to see that despite the rivalry and sh!t stirring on this forum, we wont see a repeat of the Counrty GF madness this Sat.

Go hard at the pill, and harder on the Pales!

Speaking of beers GD, I've had a thought.

My shout for you and all your playing mates, tonight at the Crafers - anything you want, all you can drink! I'll even buy you takeaways at closing!

Keen?

So GD, I hear it's your shout! Done, I'll have a white wine spritzer thanks mate!

Good to hear everyone keeps a midget chained up in their basement too, for a minute there I was thinking I might be a bit weird.

Yeah it is interesting to see that Birdwood may not come up. Wonder what to make of the Central Division if Blackwood make good their threat of heading to Southern and Bridgey bite it back down to Country. There's not too many teams to play in that case. 7 if i can count correctly (which I can't). Not a lot of games in that case.
Don't rate Bridgey to win too many in Country either. They'll smash the bottom clubs which are thin but will struggle against the top sides. Just not the stars and depth at Underwater Park.

imagine the scenes down at devil land if all three teams get up what a massive night it would be, would be funny to see how many supporters jump on the band wagon and decide to come to the after celebrations.

The balcony at Devil Park might finally collapse with all those hangers-on forced outside if thats the case! Might give El Presidente Paul "Coco" Clements the opportunity to put in a 10,000 seater grandstand on the far side. From what I'm hearing on this website Lofty have the cash to do it. Or they might just sign Chris Judd instead! Might at least keep some of those uncouth yobbo's quiet on game day........yes that means you Advocate!!! (before you graduated to boundary duties)

I have heard that the league will not let Bridgewater play in country division next year...........I suppose that forces them to either get flogged each week again, recruit heavily or just fold?

How can Birdwood not come up to Central next year? I though it was a done and dusted deal?

Blackwood to Southern is an interesting point too. How many teams would they field? I understand that Southern League is looking at a two division comp again but at the moment there is only one comp. That is a lot of blokes for not a lot of spots at windy hill and for there to be two divisions the southern league will surely have to poach a few more clubs from somewhere, but where? Great Southern maybe?

Uncouth yobbo? dunno bout that Bernie - it's called comedy mate, you should try it some time.

Will certainly be interesting to see how big the bandwagon gets if the dream comes true. I'll be asking as many people as I can possibly speak to where they were for the last 5-6 years when we really needed them!!!!

Mate, I get more laughs on the balcony than Jerry Seinfeld does in Dutch Gunja bars.

There's always a few cringes, but deep down, everyone's having a chuckle!!!!

In all seriousness though, I'm about as funny as a fart in a crowded elevator.

Its that time of year again and boy am i pumped. another GF cannot wait. Should be some cracker games i just hope the weather doesn't interfere too much with the results. nobody minds a little bit of rain but lets hope it aint too windy hey fellas(and female posters). Congratulations to Mt Lofty on gaining 3 sides into the GF an enormous improvement from previous years and displays the fighting character of the club. Well done also to Uraidla on gaining two senior Gf births. My tips for this weekends games:

A's: Devils by a goal or two. Been little between the sides all year and shouldnt be any different this time. George and Sutherland will be hard for lofty to match up on but they should have the players to do it. I expect lofty to get up and complete what has so far been a dream turnaround from the sellar dweller years of the past. I'm picking Sarno to play a blinder and win the BOG medal.

B's: Can't go past the Devils again here, will be a hard fought game and could go either way but im tipping the Devils to bring it home strong in the last quarter. Wet conditions could provide some sloppy skills in a B grade encounter but Lofty's skill level and determination should rise to the top. Dermott Brereton to win the medal and hold aloft the cup.

17's: Blackwood would have to be favourites coming into this game with class players such as Delawyer and Pope both polling well in the association medal and will be hard for lofty to stop. The Devil midfield will have to lift and show blackwood the fighting qualities which have been displayed at senior colt level at heathfield for a number of years. My tip is Lofty to sneak home by 2 goals and young David Abernethy a favourite amongst the crowd to be shown similar praise by the umpires and win the best on ground.

14's: This should be the biggest winning margin of the day with Barker to clean up an impressive ironbank side with ease. Should shearwood of ironbank suit the margin may be reduced but i expect barker to have too much dept for the thunderers with barkers super coach Greenslade to lead his charges to another premiership.

Exciting stuff and lets hope all results fall the right way. Good luck to all clubs and may the best side win!

The Indian wrote:Good luck to all playing at Balhannah tomorrow, hopefully the weather holds off and a big crowd are on hand to watch hard fought battles in all grades. One can only hope there wont be a blow out like the country grand final. I think it will be a low scoring affair, with the Devils just getting over the line.
Hope you boys get over the creek, Mitchy P. Should have too much firepower up forward if your stumpy legs can pump the ball down there enough.

how u know my legs indian? i have no clue who u might be.
good luck with the grandys tomorrow, hopefully the weather holds up and it doesnt bog down.

Also with the big day approaching in Justquietly's words:

C'mon you Dees!

Lets hope the umpires, weather and alcohol police do not spoil the contests
