Willunga v Strath was a reasonable game. We won it in the 2nd quarter by kicking 9.5 to a couple of points! 2nd half became an arm wrestle, their midfield is still as strong as its been with Stringer, Tucker, Munn and Cousins going through there. They've got some young kids getting exposed to senior footy and as much as theyre struggling they'll knock some sides off this year and will be better for the experience.

Creeks going down by 2 points to Yank, makes their push for the double chance just that little bit harder being 3 games off of 3rd spot but still have a strong % so not out of the question! Mclarens keep going about their business and Goolwa rolling Victor shows they are not a side to be taken lightly. Zacs got them playing great competitive footy and the new in of Smith up forward only strengthens their push for a finals berth!

Big game this week with goolwa playing the creeks if goolwa get up they will be three wins ahead of the creeks if they lose only one win ahead and still with willunga to come in the first round, should be very interesting..

goolwa looking like a serious finals contender, with the new in of smith the forward line is going to cause matchup nightmares. Hopefully they can pinch one of the losses back in the 2nd half of the season.

I didn't see the game but looks like the win was ripe for the picking for Victor at 3/4 time with Goolwa only 2 points up and Victor to come home with the wind after Goolwa not able to goal into the wind in the second term. Final term Goolwa 8-3 to Victor 2-3  :? 3 weeks in a row been in good position to win and not able to tough it out. In all 3 the opposition has kicked poorly which may have masked things but still disappointing - esp leading Yank till the dying moments. Doesn't get any easier with Willunga, Creek then Compass to complete the round.

Goolwa have Creek, Pongy and Willunga to come
Creek have Goolwa, Victor and Pongy.

The Creek games will be very interesting!

I forgot to mention that Saturday's match made a mockery of association selection. Daniel smashed Ryan in the ruck, ewer was bog. I'm sure they have mised some Goolwa players

Also interesting to note that it is fairly obvious from the players selected that the GSFL have not taken to many local country footballers into consideration as they are hell bent on winning this inter assoc game. The only other player that should have been looked at for serious selection from Goolwa is Sam Daniel (Ruckman) would be interesting to know what people from other clubs that have already played Goolwa think of his form against them because

Yeah some value with yank and creeks there. Don't think you'll get many takers for McLaren at $4!

Read in the times today that yank's big ruckman wilson might be playing at central districts is this true? Thought they still had big pumpa rucking for them.
Match of the round definately goolwa v creek would have been a very long time since goolwa beat the creeks, they have a very big chance this week. Don't count the creek out just yet they have had a lot of injuries to there big men lately will still be around the mark.
Witnessed willunga up close on the weekend even though there list isn't as strong as previous years they have got a good mix of new young lads up from the colts holding there own. They still have the best work rate and teamwork which makes them a league above the rest. First team i have seen in a long time have a three way ruckman rotation with standfield, williamson and steele only used in short spurts.
