Well i dont know how good your info is AF but if this is correct i think this is a great result. Having Gus in the top job, a bloke with a bit of drive and also managing to retain Owen. No matter what people say Owen has a great deal of knowledge and experience and i think this would be a great win for the HFL

I sat next to Glen at the SANFL Coaches dinner on friday night and he alluded to this without coming out and saying it. Owen will remain on the comittee in a lesser role.

An email came out from Glen and Owen confirming this to the clubs

If memory serves well Onkas didn't appoint a coach till February in 2011 and they finished 3rd.
I wouldn't get to worried at this stage

If my memory serves me, Onkas were pretty quick sacking Evans then hiring Wallace... so cant really compare.

Anyway,

Sad news I see at Ironbank with Kevin Morgan passing. Grumps or KC one of the originals I would have thought the place won't be the same.

i'm hearing they're losing a number of last years recruits, so points wont be a problem. will also free up heaps of cash which hughes and lores will no doubt be offered.

Not sure if they'd be my first choice picks for that amount of cash, especially when looking at Lores record he has played a lot of b grade in the past 2 seasons.

I find this an unlikely rumour, i chatted to jack a few weeks ago he said that he had just met with the new coach there at mt barker and was happy with his plans for the coming season with a couple of new recruits in Shaun Maxfield and ex Barker junior Mark Obushak and block, chaplin etc all signing on again. As for tommy i couldnt see him leaving the roos having his parents have been involved with the club for years along with his brother James. in saying that who knows cause at in this day and age for a 19-21 yr old $$$ will talk. will be interesting to see what happens.
