I snuck out to there training last night, not 100% sure on how they are going to line up, but if the old saying Strength in Numbers is anything to go by, would certainly be around the mark again.

Gill i tend to agree with what you have put down.
IMO I think Schmidt is the best X-Factor South have got.

It looks like Monfries has signed on with Lions.

Also I notice Campbell Smith mentioned above as Port's 'X Factor' but he has pursued further opportunities in town for West Adelaide (though I do believe he will be out of action for some time with a shoulder injury).

Monfries will be a big in for Lions and would not have come cheap. Not sure if they will have the players to get it to him, but at last something postive for a club that seems to be struggling. Also not sure that he will be able to play all the game due to work.

Lions won a close one. Great for the club that everyone, including myself, thought would be well off pace this year. Monfries obviously an excellent recruit and perhaps just what they needed to get their "nearly there" players going. Regarding the result -possibly the same reasons as those you gave for Sollies beating West. Still early stages. (Anyhow Centrals would be one spot higher than your boys ATM so dont throw stones! ;) )
