Mallala to be too good for Virginia in a close one with the Pies fit legs taking over in the last half

United to pip Balaklava at home (they always seem too)

Two Wells to belt Hamley Bridge at Windy Hill

3 from 3 for me.

Tigers and Peckers both under strength, Tiges too good in the end

One thing is for sure everytime you play at Ram park there is always an incident involving the biggest dipsh#t in the league, Rick Russo, whom attempts to play B grade for the rams. This week was no different, given the fact that the toolbag cant get a kick and looks like he is carrying around a watermelon in each of his back pockets of his snot green footy shorts, his contribution today against the magpies was no different. Failing to get near the pill for most of the game, Rick "the D#*k" commenced to absolutely belt the living daylights out of a 17 year magpie whom is one of the quietest kids i know, behind the play, which knock him out completely unconscious. You wonder why your club has such a bad name and reputation toogood4u when there is several clowns like him representing your footy club. Being behind the play of course the umpires could not see it. so he'll be running around next week again, which is bullsh#t and im sure Virginia wont deal with like a real club with morals would do. Rick Russo your a disgrace to the league and if he 's playing next week, Virginia your no better. My advice give him a pick and send back out into the veggie patch!!!
Dont tell pork pies swampy, the so called kid in question has a reputation for starting trouble and not only at football but out side of football. so lets get some facts right swampy. It was in the play and to suggest that he(r Russo) goes out to just bash players is slanderous. A few clowns? WHO?

I would rather see mallala back permits for (U17s), For the clubs that are struggling for numbers. It is a better option than the MERCY RULE!

Guys lets keep itall calm now .Hey swampy bury that incident somewhere in the back of your head. This team mate of yours will get his chance one day . As the old saying goes what goes around comes around . I remember quite a few years ago a certain josh jones coached the maggies .During one of the years he coached he brought a player up from the b's against the tigers. This guy clearly had no ability his sole job was to run around and give a few players cauliflower ears and he did just that. I even think this same player broke wilf heslop's nose in the same year in the b grade. But he got his ,i dont think i have seen him strike one of our players since .

Do you mean support the use of playing permits for those players just over the cutoff age? If so, as I understand it all permit applications are treated individually and on its merit - are you saying Mallala always object?

I agree that it is better than the mercy rule - but just about everything is.

I understand there is a meeting this Wednesday and on the agenda is "flicking the mercy rule" - as far as I can determine Mallala, Hamley, Two Wells and Balaklava coaches don't like it or want it. I suspect the other 3 clubs would also agree.

Ok im not a big beer drinker , but i'll give it a shot.

Balak: Cold beer but I waited about 5 mins to be served at the bar on saturday. not good enough when a mans thirsty.
Hamley: Pretty cold beer not sure if they have Coopers on tap. Always seems to be freezing weather at Hamley though, more port drinking weather.
Hummocks: Wakey's ok Coopers on tap, pretty cold. I used to like having a beer in the old church hall over the road though. Haven't been to Lochiel in a while so won't comment till later in the year.
Mallala: Sorry Swampy but you need to tell your barmen to turn the fridge up, the beers just not cold enough. Also seem to have taps there but whenever i'm there no kegs are hooked up to them.
Virginia: Beers pretty cold but not sure it's the best Rooster. BBQ does compliment the beer nicely though.
United: Hurts me to say but it's a bit inconsistent at Longies most of the time the Coopers on tap is icy cold and some of the best going around but every now and then (very rarely mind you) its not quite as cold as it could be. Love the $2 schooners on thursday nights though!

They all have there good points but overall Two Wells get the nod from me. If I recall they were the first club in the comp to get coopers on tap (could be wrong, memories bit hazy these days), the beers always cold and they're one of the few clubs where you can get pints!

This of course is just my opinion, feel free to shoot me down if you don't agree.

We live in a democratic society so why do we put up with what only a few want? NOT ONE person i have spoken to supports the mercy rule! why did mallala support this! is it because they know they will not be competitive in the U17s this season? why not give clubs that struggle for numbers in the juniors more pemit players ? It must be better that the bullsh*t we had to endure on sat. we had to pull players so the game went passed 1/4 time. About time the APFL got their head out of the sand and listern to the people who make up the APFL! And not worry about their own EGO's

Virginia coach opposed it also.so who's idea? He reckons the coaches were told that it works in the york league so that's what we will go with. Like you stated not much worse than the mercy rule!

United junior and senior colts coach's also not a fan of mercy rule and we're one of the teams that have copped some floggings this year.

Tend to have a stubby at most grounds - struggling to find a bad one an any ground these past few years.

Coopers at Two Wells was introduced by the now Mallala publican I reckon - he has been a Coopers man forever and was a committee man back then. In fact you can probably see where he has been by the trail of Coopers drinkers.

Thats 6 out of 7 confirmed that are opposed to the ridiculous rule. I can hear the lads cheering now as the edict comes down .......

How did it get in? In my opinion that's the important question that needs to be answered. If the junior committee of the APFL are voting in these types of rules WITHOUT coach consultation then that is just plain WRONG. I did hear it was a brainchild of the former League President - don't know if thats correct.

I agree, some at Mallala seem to be quite strong in the support of this rule - what disappoints me about that is these guys are lifelong football people and SHOULD KNOW BETTER.

Anyway - lets hope it gets what it deserves - the flick immediately
