Is anyone, pretty quiet on here. I know Ironbank had some interviews this week, no details at this stage.

Same as with the country div who is still to find a new coach for 2012?

Mount Barker have signed a new coach. Steve Samuels. Steve coached the Mount Compass
FC for 5 years from 2006 to 2010 and the Murrayville FC from 2003 to 2005
where he was successful in winning two premierships. He played for Pooraka
in the Amateur league as well as stints in country leagues.
good move for them he is a great coach and well liked from all reports at mt compass hence the 5 year stint.
A nice guy Steve, should do well.
I wonder how much was put on the table last Wednesday when they interviewed an ex WAFL player, 6' 6" ruckman? I hear there's a line up of clubs almost a kilometre long to talk to him.
I bet in all of his coaching years Samuels has never had a 6 6 ruckman walk into his calculations!!

he'd be the envy of many coaches !!

I hear on the grape vine Torrens valley are already spending up big. When will they realise they are ruining the hill league competition. Wonder how the local lads feel.

Doesn't really surprise me to be honest. But without knowing their points allocation, I'd imagine they would have been pretty close to the maximum last year. With Neely leaving and their final ladder position, they may only have enough points to recruit 2 more players (providing all their existing recruits stay and the new recruits aren't 0 point players).

Not to mention they (TV) may not have any juniors, especially at the lower level, be interesting to see what the HFL will do if this happens, with respect to their place in Central division.

Hills Central is already full of coin. Torrens Valley are just another player in that regard. Football in general is already ruined by coin, just that blokes playing today don't realise what it was like to play with your mates before the $$$ came in.

Word out of the Country Div is that some clubs want the Junior grade ages changed to U12, U15 & U18 but only in the Country Div. Central to stay the same. Any thoughts?

That was the HFL that bought the age changes up. Not one country div club wanted to go with the changes & it was squashed.

Heard a rumour today Dave Earl to coach Blackwood for 2012. Dave was the coach of Reynella in the SFL the last three years. Any truth in the rumour anyone?
