Which story is this McGrath to South or O'Connor to Barossa ?

I don't think that you will see O'Connor back at Barossa next year. He has a 3 year deal at Kilburn. But I wouldn't say that he will never come back to the BL&G after that.

id be surprised if you saw O'Connor coaching beyond Kilburn. getting kilburn back to the 1's was his final mission

I would see no reason why Barossa would want Rian Nelson not to continue
I would think the job is his for as long as he wants it
Oconnor might come back, one day as a spectator

ok judging by the guesses of most posters looks like i have to spell it out
mullet mcgrath is the coach in question and south is again his destination.
his former club angaston holds the key to this happening this weekend as another performance from south like last week will spell the end of herzicks long unsuccessful tenure at the den

One of my favorite sons in Matthew Doecke will be playing his 300th A-Grade game for Angaston in a few weeks.
Who is your clubs top 2 or 3 games played list (A-Grade only)? Some clubs may only have a short history of player information.

Angaston
Mat Doecke - 297 (currently playing)
Jimmy Linke - 260'ish (retired)
Richard Miles - 260'ish (retired)
Nick Reimann - 240'ish (current playing)
Been to the top of the mountain - 1908, 1911, 1912, 1913, 1914, 1915, 1920, 1925, 1926, 1930, 1931, 1932, 1933, 1945, 1968, 1969, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1977, 1986, 2003, 2013

osama, you have forgotten current coach craig hadden on that list, he sits second with 270 ish. Matthews achievement in the coming weeks is outstanding when you consider we only play 16 minor round games a year! Will he be the first to reach this milestone in this league? Out and out champion of this comp!!!!

Tex, how that pm from daysof go? Any truth to this rumour?

Daisey, I am sure that scenario would be on the top of South Gawlers wish list but the reality is South wouldn't have the cash to pay out Herzick and appoint Mcgrath.

Make no mistake , South Gawler want Herzick gone sooner rather then later.

well lets just say the season ending injury to aaron bayliiss may yet have a silver lining for the club and its long suffering supporters. a return to the glory days of mullet would be most welcome IMO.
on a lighter note the club has no need to budget for a new set of guernseys in the foreseeable future so cash is freed up there

Paul "Egg Smash' Hammerling has notched up 322 at willaston, then went on to be a committee men and is now a trainer for the mighty dons.. dead set champion bloke who is unrivalled in gawler.

pinch i think osama was referring to A grade games i doubt that hammer has played 322 A grade games, if u want to talk senior games i think grant 'hookas' falkenberg played about 420 from angaston and i would imagine tony "chinga" linke and peter "woolly" nietschke from nuri would be around the 400 mark.
huge achievment from matthew doecke, i think he has only missed 2 games since he started and one was for a uni exam. just to put it into perspective chris gerhardy seems to have been around as long as doecke, although he did spend 2 years in murray bridge he is only coming up to his 200th A grade game.
i wonder how many of doeckes games have been as captain i would guess over 200 easy, maybe if the stats guru from ango reads this he will give us the run down in the "mis"leader.

i am sure the door would be opened at willaston for any player with the right attitude.

Fantastic to see the welcome mat is out at Willaston.

Is that clown Mick Brien still involved with Willaston ?

welcome back stirlo aka pacman, cant be long now until we see the return of your nemesis the great hafey

i notice no response to this pacman does ur silence on this mean that you are infact stirlo reincarnated!!! after giving it some thought and checking register dates and the timing of hafeys last post i think pinch hitter maybe the great hafey aka mick brein although admittedly he seems to have toned it down abit but im sure the real hafey will shine through soon ;) ;) maybe pinch u can tell us if ivan silvy will come out of retirement to make a return to full back for the donnies

Wasnt sure what that post was refering to so i left it alone.

The only thing i have in common with Stirlo is i am also a Gawler Central club man who wears there heart on the sleeve.

Stilro is a obviously a Rugby Union man, if you have a look at my other posts i am prominent in the NRL section and a big Brisbane Broncos fan.

what folly. although those blokes were very amusing, the board certainly hasn't been the same since they departed.

daysofourlives -Although Mullet would be just what the doctor ordered for South, I wouldn't think the great man would take the job on. Since stepping back from playing and coaching footy, he no longer needs to eat, sleep and breathe footy. Look forward to catching up with the great man tomorrow.
If Ivan "The Kid" Silvy did return, it would be bigger than the 1964 Beatles tour of Adelaide. Or at least Ivan would think so.

Look for south gawler to be unveiling a new player tomorrow... a replacement for Bayliss perhaps...
Tim Clarke was the #1 player in the AFL

What the hell happened at South's Tuesday night? Heard a crisis meeting was held, late finish to the night, on Tuesday. Senior players in tears about the position the club's in....

Turn it around boys!
