In today's Tiser it says we are now getting Jonathon Griffin instead of Symes to Saturday's Peckers vs Tigers game, great a West Australian linked to Centrals, I don't think the Crows realise we are in the Eagles country zone and not Centrals.

The way United's struggling with injuries I think we'll need Griffin to pull on a black and gold guernsey.

Yeah, a real tragedy that an AFL player is coming to your zone

Sometimes I reckon we get caught up with the little things like that and don't realise how good it is to have a player coming at all....

When was the last time a listed AFL player came out to your way? Should be happy they're coming at all, let alone someone who is a "West Australian linked to Centrals".

BTW - my comp's not getting anyone...

If nothing else - some publicity it would seem - OR - maybe a Centrals player going into the WWT zone might raise an eyebrow or 2 and make WWT realise that they have a country zone quite close to their headquarters. Won't be holding my breath!

Maybe WWT will send out the pie cart to a few Junior training sessions around the league - hahaha - I am cracking some big ones now......

Not mixed up mate - we've got two comps up here and they're very different.
I don't actually mind, what AFL player wants to go out to East Murray, Paruna or Wunkar on their weekend off???
It's just a bit of extra perspective for you on the AFL player thing.

We did have Former crows recruit and no 7 pick in the 2000 AFL draft, one Lawrence Angwin came through Two wells a couple of years back, pity he had just rolled his mate Hayden skipworths car on the yorke Peninsula and the police were escorting him, still it was exciting to have an AFL player come through, Wow.

Just out of curiosity what are these AFL players actually doing at the country games? Are they just there to watch or are they giving away free stuff to kids or doing some Auskick at half time or something?

Screw the pie cart at the Juniors. How about the seniors getting a few pies!

we've got Che Cockatoo-Collins running around in this league, Virginian cone positioner Greg Phillips former VFL/AFL, State of origin and Father of Erin as well as The Gavin Wanganeen just put us in our place by wandering out to the tower with his boots over one shoulder asking for a kick last year and ended up with eight of em, Ricky O' was crows listed once, sheesh AFL players just wander in and out of league on a regular basis, no wonder the WWT boys can't be asked to hop on the scooter, they must reckon we get by alright without em! happy when another load of young blokes from the plains walk out to train with them though.

Warning: the above may contain traces of sarcasm!

Incidently according to the paper yesterday it was 1965 when Woodville emerged and the SANFL in their wisdom decided to label our zone as Woodville zone, and as the two teams merged they continued. Personally i think it needs to be looked at, but that's another debate.
