I thought Shee was ok but Johno did a top job. Klun, Tanner and Kirwan kill us in the mid field I think the final margin was Onkas by 4 goals

Trouble at Barker hey! Who would've guessed, now they want to sack the coach... I think it runs deeper than that.

The Barkeroos have had some great young local talent that have come up through the ranks who deserve their chances, I hear they have been getting a quarter here and there in the A's but they're familes and them are long term club people and the young blokes CAN play. Alby give them a chance, you won't be disappointed.

If you look at the record of Glyus you will see he is only interested in his personal record. The only reason I believe he took on Mt Barker for a second year was because they fell at the final hurdle last year. He would rather bring in a high price recruit than develop kids. This is what makes the current situation at Mt Barker so fascinating.

We batted well? Cmon OTH, that's the talk of someone defending a side with low expectations, you guys are still the hunted, surely this result is seen as a fail.
On another note - go devs, massive win that I didn't expect.

10 more scoring shots to the devs too, the yips in front of goals continue. Also, the Roos only kicking 5 goals for two games in a row...what's the go?

Tough to pick a winner at this early stage. You would predict the winner has to normally come from the top 3 but in this particular year, if you can make the 5, you can win the flag. We will know more after each team has played one another. Blackwood for me will be a tough cookie to crack. Mt barker WILL be around the mark and writing them off now will be a mistake. Lofty and Uri’s always hard when it comes finals. The maggies improving. Onkas capable. Tv are unknown, but have played plenty of finals footy so know how its done. Ironbank and loby could beat anyone but don’t think they will win the flag. Bridgey aren’t worth the time it took to write their name.

I guess pictures speak louder than words. I think there were a few more standing under the shelter near the canteen, but a bit poor considering how important the game was to both clubs.

Thought the pink footys were awesome to watch, forgot to ask the boys what they were like to kick/handle. Any complaints?

They were a bit heavy. Definitely a noticeable difference between them and the standard footies.

Pink footies were a bit heavier. Would not like to use them regularly.

Loby oval, like most HFL ovals, is in the best condition I've ever seen. Just the right weather this year.

The pink footys were certainly different to kick etc. But in terms of vision was really good especially as the game went on into the second half alot easier to see when compared to the standard red balls

Crowd does look sparse, thought the Tigers might have got there in numbers considering the huge crowd they got against Torrens Valley, but then Ironbank supporters look thin on the ground as well and it's a water bag trip for them with not a good reception given the recent banter on here.

Actually the crowd at Lobey was heaps better than the last few years. Most spots taken up around the oval whereas this was sparse in recent times.
Nothing like the good times but obviously something has changed to bring back supporters.

So Mt Barker have officially pulled the pin on C grade. I guess more players will be leaving to play elsewhere now.
