Good hit out for Ironbank today against Mt Compass but I probably cried wolf last week. Yeomans did a shoulder with 10 minutes to go and Schneider ligament damage to his ankle. Along with the fact the new ruckman can't play for the first 3 weeks due to work. Tough but I'm sure the young Thunderers will step up.

I was at Flinders tonight with my son and caught up with Yeomans who had his arm in a sling. He said it was a complete dislocation and looked pretty dejected.

With the exit of these TV players it's now confirmed my thouhgts. These players were happy to be world beaters and big fishies in a little pond. Now faced with a challenge they've gone walkies.

Well for the last couple of years these guys have been paid rediculous amounts of money to pump crap sides every second week, this would make you pretty lazy after a while. There is no doubt that they would have to lift their game to be where they should be to be competitive. I am not saying they couldn't, but they would have to work harder on the track and on game day than they have in the past. I can see a point of view that why would you challange yourself only for your perceived "value" to be lowered when you can go back to the city and live off of your reputation from the last couple of years. These guys were just there for the money anyway, they really have nothing to prove to anyone. Shame as it would have been good to truly test both TV and Div1 as to the true standard but money talks and bull$h!t walks.

I'm told Hahndorf went down to Morphett Vale in their trial. I'm also told Cooper went down with what looked like a serious hamstring injury.

Hahndorf went down with the last kick of the game. No hamstring injury to Cooper

What type of injury is it then? I'm told he went off with an injury. I'm also told Morphett Vale played a lot of U18 due to some high profile A graders being injured. The Emus are expecting a tough season ahead.

I have heard this is complete rubbish! Also that IB are in for a very good year! And Barker had a training session Friday night, bit like playing GWS!

Your last comment is pretty ordinary Lebron. They outscored a very undermanned Imperials side by three goals after quarter time. Hardly a thrashing. A really arrogant comment which is the reason why so many people got so much pleasure out of the Grand Final result last year.

Sorry FTO but can only comment by what I saw, biased maybe. We were very undermanned also, and I hope you saw our bench by half time. Good luck to you this year though!

Don't know about U18, Hahndorf looked the younger side. Both had their fair share of senior players being injured/unavailable. Cooper wasn't really injured at all, just a niggle and being a trial came off.
