We didn't stay for the A grade game, but I've been trying to get hold of the score by ringing Yankalilla FC - but been engaged for the past 30mins.
Either taking heaps of calls - or sick to death of the phone ringing so taken it off the hook

Sorry OS.

I note the scores arent up on SP yet so here's my take on Sunday's game.

I didn't have much to say on here last week as optimism was low knowing Victor had only 1 win against top 4 sides during the minor round with most players available. With the injury list already hurting, unfortunately round 18 also cost us Parry (broken leg) and Boyd (knee) then Graham again (driver). The led to the unusual scenario of Allan Weetra playing his first A grade game of the year in a final and Pat Conti his first since the first game of the year.

But after seeing the fancied pies flogged on Friday night then arriving at Yank on a beautiful spring day, the Senior Colts winning, watching the Minis win...confidence was restored. Anything is possible, especially in a final.

Victor kicked with the aid of a decent breeze in the first, but a tight low scoring affair saw Yank lead 3-3 to 2-3 at the first change. The second saw Yank draw away by a couple of goals but then victor managed to draw level at 6-4 each. Yank then put one on the board late and take that same 1 goal lead into half time. Victor needed to use the breeze well in the 3rd to be a chance and started well taking the lead early, but then Yank took control running the ball well from defence and scoring 3-4 for the quarter where Victor only managed 3 straight. Yank 10-8, Victor 9-4 at the final change - still anybody's game but with Yank having the momentum late in the 3rd and the wind in the last, the smart money was on them. Yank kicked a couple of early goals before Victor majored but it was all Yank from then on in. Some great goals were kicked in the last much to the delight of the big home crowd. Great finals game for 3 quarters but Yank's run and class shone out in the end.

My best for Victor were Tarquin Brown (who destroyed contest after contest against Durdin), Danny Robinson and Josh Bridge and Leigh Ryan competing well in ruck and proving a tough target to stop up forward with 4 goals. For Yank No 5 (Brazier I think)'s run on the wing was fantastic and the jet-setting (and former VH B&F) Labastida was in everything.
