Lets hope that Matt Size plays a little better than he did in SFL
You certainly would not want to be laying out $ for his record

Clubs beware Willunga is sending Thomas everywhere around the GSFL as a mole.He has had many interviews with many clubs all under strict confidentiality, after each meeting he reports back to headquaters with his assessment of that particular clubs movements. Is this cutting edge or what?????

I highly doubt this would happen! Why would Willunga (4 premierships in a row, $1.50 favourite for a 5th) even bother with what other clubs are doing? They are the hunted not the hunter! Even if this is happening why would they waste their petrol money to check out Encounter Bay (just an example Bay supporters), who finished 6th and have lost players?

jeeze the bays will be working hard over the summer months by the sounds of that footymad! the only problem is i think your camps away and loxton footy cup, and early trial games may be all to much as lot of the local boys play cricket. I think you will find unlike most leagues the GSFL is very unique as most footy players play cricket for their GSFL club and this is their summer sport not pre season of footy. i will wait in interest to see what your numbers are like at previous clubs iv been at in the GSFL this has not been a sucsess and players are very reluctant

What are your sea legs like Micky? Do you think you could play after a few hours in an old cray boat?

Good call about EBay. They were the only club to go backwards last year. They'll finish bottom of the GSFL in 08.

Apart from a few legends games I don't think Micky's played much since he retired in 1989. Should only be a one point player but come on Micky - you turn 50 next season!

Under rule 3ba of the GSFL pts system any1 who is better than any1 on earth (that being micky) you are pointless,so having said that Micky would be able to play for huge sums of money not attracting any points and take all the money the club has, without being seen in that town again. This points system is right up Micky's alley

I think juniors are worth 0 points so i can see sides playing a colt or 2 to free up a couple of points and if the kid is ready then play on. I fear that they will be throwing kids in there to keep the points down and basically play with 20 players!

The idea of rotating players is good and bad, do you still pay the players even when its there turn to sit out for the week? Do you rest players in form? Players inevitably need a rest but forced resting is not what its all about.

Fair point about payment but I think the main one that people are missing is who sits out the GF because your team has too many points? One thing to miss because your the 22nd or 23rd player at the club but to be in the top 5 at your club and miss out because of a rotating points system? I'd say you'd have trouble keeping that recruit the following year!

No club should be in that position ZC! If one of the "top 5" was a chance to miss the GF...., I doubt he is "top 5" material anyway?

Speaking of pointless Micky i think u comin back would be pointless. Stay out of footy, keep the good name uve built rather than ruin it by playing footy in a country league in South Australia and struggling in the 2s at the Roosters!

Time will tell, according to GA all we have to do it not finish bottom and we've improved.

It could easily happen! Ex. Club recruits big names few 4 pt players late in the preseason a gun 4 or 5 pt player moves to the area decides he's made enough money from footy and wants to play for a local club what does the club do say he can't play? If he does play one of there other recruits sits out? Or you play juniors to keep your points down at the expense of a middle of the pack player who deserves his spot but can't have it because of the points?

I guess you'd have to rule out Willunga aswell Micky. By the sounds of all the talk they've got the backpockets filled with Matty Rads(GUN) and Baxter!! Maybe to the Saints, they look like the big improvers. Or Compass, heard they maybe short a 07 mail medalist in next season.

WoW i think u'll find he is out at Finniss clearing the pickets not painting them!

Micky Conlan would be a welcome inclusion to the 1230 demons. U make a good point with Matty Rads bein a gun, so underrated and has courage few possess.

Burdett heading where according to ur knowledge. I heard he was havin a run down at Panther land but not sure if he landed there or not.
