EP Sport - back with a vengeance

Talk on any country footy league or club from the SA Country area

I dont think he is over rated. 3 lads from Goolwa (who are cellar dwellers in the GSFL) seem to do ok over in Lincoln and this guy comes from Willunga, who would be one of the best if not the best teams outside the SANFL in SA. He may not take a game apart but he will be more than handy.

Yeah we.ve been training pretty well actually, i missed last weeks through having to help out at my inlaws with the fire and stuff, but most weeks we've had about twenty blokes out i suppose, which is great for this time of year. Started 10 of Dec i think and its been pretty solid the whole way through, so hopefully been getting a good fitness base to work off. Some new signings on the line still and won't be known until after pen is to paper.

This Wayne Langford character, has he been playing in the Great Southern League? If its the same one, he's over-rated i heard

Thats the one champ! Far from overrated in the league, infact was a key player in our quest for the flag. Holds down CHB very well and pinch hits in the ruck. Underestimate him at your own peril!

it is a big call, obviously you have the Div 1 sides and some good teams in the western border league but it certainly is NOT an outlandish statement. I guess the point I am making is that he will be a good player for Waybacks.

Will be a rock down back for them and is a top lad to boot!

Whats his name?

MOOOOOOOOOSE!!! Wayne Langford.

The Moose was 6' 2" WHEN HE WAS 13.
A big strong young fella.
Won South Adelaides u/17 best and fairest (i think twice)but did not quite make it at seniors
Ex Port Noarlunga Junior.
He dominated as a ruckman while a junior but did not grow enough to be a ruckman
Took him a while to develop enough skill to be a key position player.
Will be a very handy player wherever he plays, and I would rather have him in my team than play against him.
Has a go and can be very physical.

Is there any other langford we can be getting confused with here? The one i have been told about is around 24-25, can run about as well as hippo(?????) and didn't get a go in SANFL juniors because he was too fat and didn't do anything about his weight? :? I'm presuming we have the wrong one?

I would suspect with our signings in the off season and the way the lads have taken it upon themselves to get together and train several times already off their own backs (while Ronnie goes through this tough period) we will be pushing for a top 2 spot. we have the best juniors coming through the system and the future is so bright we all have to wear shades at ravendale.

A hockey president has left his club and will join a rival side. Who is it you may ask? Know anything RR?
